Not so much the early Claire Grogan incarnation who popped up now and again, but the Chloe Annett* version who ruined series VII and VIII.

Red Dwarf was funny because the crew was clueless and they were a bunch of blokes doing stupid bloke things. A woman who knows her way around a spaceship but has irritatingly 'cute' and 'quirky' properties has no place on StarBug. Thank goodness she was killed off.

• No offence to the actress, it was the way that version of the character was scripted!

Kochanski just wasn't funny. Holly was great, male and female, but I just found Kochanski boring. Mind you, that was also around the time when Rimmer left because Chris Barrie was doing The Brittas Empire, and he was my fave.
