I would say currently it's Geoff from Corrie.

OP posts:
tillytoodles1 · 06/09/2020 22:29

Bridget Jones.

NotImpossible · 06/09/2020 22:30

@fishonabicycle

Negan in the Walking Dead. I had to stop watching.
Yep.
Flatpackback · 06/09/2020 22:31

Everyone in Tess of the d’Ubervilles

TheMistressQuickly · 06/09/2020 22:40

Mr Bean

NotImpossible · 06/09/2020 22:41

FitzChivalry Farseer (though I love the books).

Clevererthanyou · 06/09/2020 22:48

A lady never likes to seem cross or rude but would a previous poster kindly back the fuck up off of Barney please? He’s a legend in this house. 😂😂

bibliomania · 06/09/2020 22:51

Simon Serraillier is charmless, although Susan Hill clearly thinks he is Hot Stuff. And his sister Cat is smug beyond belief.

BitOfFun · 06/09/2020 22:52

St.John Rivers in Jane Eyre.

AristotleAteMyHamster · 06/09/2020 22:53

Diana Barry from the Anne of GG books

BonosSigh · 06/09/2020 22:55

Kim Bauer from 24
Deb, the sister from Dexter
Becky from the Shopaholics series
That doctor that had his arm ripped off by a helicopter in ER (Robert?)
Carrie Bradshaw

And a couple from the horrible tv shows my tweens watch:
Cat from Sam and Cat
Piper from Henry Danger

Candleabra · 06/09/2020 22:58

Someone said Kay Scarpetta's niece. Add to that Kay Scarpetta herself. Especially in the later books. Why I continued to waste my time on those I do not know.

Candleabra · 06/09/2020 23:02

ER - Dr Robert Romano. I always thought he was avery unhappy man. Massive ego, but hugely insecure. I thought the actor did a good job.

Abby Lockhart on the other hand...don't get me started...

JaneJeffer · 06/09/2020 23:02

The cool wife in Gone Girl and her husband.

Any character played by Shirley Henderson.

BillywilliamV · 06/09/2020 23:07

I struggle with the way everyone enables the activities of Boy Dugdale, he is disgusting!

Hippee · 06/09/2020 23:18

Almasy and Katherine Clifton from "The English Patient"
Pretty much everyone from Thomas Hardy, but particularly Angel Clare
Cathy and Heathcliff
The Famous Five, but Julian in particular (bullying and rudeness to anyone of a "lower class")

What on earth is wrong with Hagrid?

Andi Macdowell's character in Four Weddings. Grr

I hate Hagrid as well. His undying, sicophantic love for Dumbledore gets on my tits.

Yes also to Andie McDowell's character in Four Weddings. She added nothing to the film except good looks. Was annoying as buggery.

Also adding Emma the ballet-dancing yellow Wiggle. I adore ballet but she's managed to take over the whole show with it! But the Wiggles are pretty annoying anyway I guess.

Any character played by Keira Knightly.

Shizzlestix · 06/09/2020 23:27

Horatio from CSI: Miami. FFS. He went from over-enthusiastic, to taking himself far too seriously and then I think the director tried to imply he was autistic. Just wrong and offensive.

Tillygetsit · 06/09/2020 23:53

Mr bloody Bean. My kids think he's hilarious Angry

Thought of another fictional irritant! The Julie Walters character in dinnerladies is very unpleasant to watch. I usually love her characters, but that one is unbearable.

UltimateIrritant · 07/09/2020 01:23

Samwise Gamgee

ElizabethMainwaring · 07/09/2020 01:28

@HoneysuckIejasmine

Elinor Oliphant. So annoying I never did find out if she really was completely fine and I don't give a fuck either.
What an overrated book that is. Only managed two chapters. Like wise Bridget Jones.

Oh, I love Petula! I thought that she was a work of genius!

Carmela Soprano - I like the episode when the psychiatrist refuses to take her blood money and hold a mirror up to her true character . Brilliantly played by Eddie Falco

FenellaVelour · 07/09/2020 02:55

Oh I absolutely agree with Holden Caulfield. The absolute worst. Self obsessed, thinks he’s far more clever than he is, fucking insufferable brat. Cannot stand that book.

Amy Pond from Dr Who can be added too. The SHOUTING. The ONE NOTE ACTING.
