I would say currently it's Geoff from Corrie.

Agree about Dawn Summers, all she did was make things a bloody mess for Buffy. Although the musical episode is amazing, I have the soundtrack on my phone and know the songs word for word Grin

Binkybix · 07/09/2020 03:18

Yuri from Anna Karenina

Janice from the Sopranos (and her boyfriend but can’t remember his name)

Agree with Holden Caulfield

Jerry from Tom and Jerry. What a little shit.

Helen from Riders

Binkybix · 07/09/2020 03:18

Thingy Gatsby from the Great Gatsby

dayslikethese1 · 07/09/2020 04:02

Dawson from Dawson's Creek: whiny brat, Pacey is clearly 1000x better.
Brandon Walsh from Beverley Hills 90210 (the original series): So full of himself, sanctimonious and everything he does is so cringe.
Peter Pan. Tosser.
Vanessa from Gossip Girl.
All the elves from LOTR: so up themselves.
Also hate Duckie from Pretty in Pink, I know this is an unpopular opinion!

Homer Simpson. I don't know why Marge stays with him. I'd have gone off with Ned Flanders long ago (whose wife, incidentally, was killed largely because of Homer's stupidity).

Yuri Zhivago

PopsicleHustler · 07/09/2020 05:48

@LJenn
Norman price? The hideous kid with a blocked nose and everything is wicked !

PopsicleHustler · 07/09/2020 05:51

Cannot stand the headmaster in the new demon headmaster on cbbc. My eldest two love the show so I end up watching it too.
He makes my skin crawl and he thinks he is top don.

Downunderduchess · 07/09/2020 06:00

The pretend goth chick Abby(?) on NCIS... I was sad she was written out as leaving instead of killing her off, just in case she came back.

malificent7 · 07/09/2020 06:02

Everyone in The Slap.
Peppa pig.
George from Rainbow( kids programme).
Bridget Jones is NOT a feminist icon.

Great thread!

theviewfromhalfwaydown · 07/09/2020 06:11

I couldn't watch the slap past the first episode. They were all awful.

Smithy from Gavin and Stacey he just gets on my nerves.

Offred in the tv version of The Handmaids Tale I love the series but she just pulls the same face all the time.

FrankieDoyle · 07/09/2020 06:16

Nellie from the Office (US)

BikeRunSki · 07/09/2020 06:17

Horrid Henry, awful child

onewhitewhisker · 07/09/2020 06:25

Kingscotestaff I see your Ginty Marlow and I raise you Patrick Merrick. Sanctimonious so and so and horrible to Nicola, I never understand why Ginty was the baddie of that storyline. I'll throw Giles Marlow in there too.

FenellaMaxwell · 07/09/2020 06:30

In defence of waffle, if he went back to being mute he’d be lovely....

Dohorseseatapples · 07/09/2020 06:35

Scooby and Scrappy Doo.

Rayn · 07/09/2020 06:36

Little princess. Even the theme tune annoys me and the "I DON'T WANT TO GO TO BED....
My ultimate... Tracy Beaker!!!

Aneley · 07/09/2020 06:43

Catherine Morland; Northanger Abbey
Mrs. Bennet; Pride and Prejudice
Another vote for Carrie Bradshow
Claire and Phil in Modern Family
Leonard in Big Bang Theory

I've noticed it's become a very popular opinion to think Ross from Friends and Carrie from SATC are complete knobs.

I do wonder how many people at the time thought this though, I find it hard to believe that you could watch all of Friends without rooting for Ross and Rachel to get together, or watch SATC without liking Carrie Bradshaw to show extent as she's so central to the whole thing, everyone else are just satellites around her plot.

I haven't watched either recently and don't want to as it's easy to judge by today's standards eg Ross and #metoo or SATC and white privilege.

But yes, I know it's a well worn comment but Bing is horrific. Each time my kids ask for it I wonder (a) how anyone could make this programme and (b) what on earth possessed the BBC to actually buy it.

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 07/09/2020 06:55

Rosie and Jim-every single thing about them-the theme tune -UGH

lljkk · 07/09/2020 07:23

No one mentioned Michael from (American) the Office ?
DD & DS are binge watching The Office. I sometimes manage 3 minutes.

I also quite loathe adult Sheldon in tBBT. But Leonard I adore, almost redeems tBBT. Potentially the most human character on there. He's very much like my ex.

Young Sheldon is completely different programme. When the Sheldon character is offscreen the rest of the characters are quite interesting & appealing.

UkuleleRose · 07/09/2020 07:31

Dr. House. Love Hugh Laurie, but I want to stab House in the face with a fork, he’s so full of himself.

Colin Creevey

Ross was always my favourite male character.
DarkMintChocolate · 07/09/2020 07:34

Every single character in books by Dickens! Can’t stand them, the books and therefore Dickens! They are all caricatures!

Actually, I found Phoebe far more annoying than Ross in friends!

Pelleas · 07/09/2020 07:43

Claire Abshire from The Time Traveler's Wife

Her trust fund that allows her to fanny around being an artist isn't good enough - Henry's got to win the lottery so she can fanny around in a mansion instead. And yes, we know she has red hair. It's mentioned 40 times in every chapter.
