The twins in Fireman Sam. Their voices are like fingers down a blackboard.

Whilst still on the topic of Dickens, it's a pity Esther Summerson didn't cark it from the smallpox. A more sanctimonious character it would be hard to find anywhere in literature!

I'm not a great fan of Shakespeare's Cordelia for similar reasons (drip).
