Dr Green in ER. Never cried so much about a TV show.

Patbutcherismyhero · 07/09/2020 17:35

Can someone remind me what happened to Yvonne in Bad Girls. I seem to remember an underground tunnel or something similar but I can't remember the storyline.

PopGoesTheProsecco · 07/09/2020 17:36

I know it’s stupid but my OH looks very much like Robert Downey Jr. Every time I watch Avengers Endgame I cry.

bonbonours · 07/09/2020 17:36

Mark Green in ER. I am rewatching it now with my teenage daughter and am already dreading it!

Tracy Mills in Se7en. I mean, what the actual fuck?! She was pregnant and he didn't know! It is just as shocking every time I watch it.

MojoPin · 07/09/2020 17:39

Billy in Ally McBeal.

Pliudev · 07/09/2020 17:39

If Archie Goodwin of the Nero Wolfe novels died I would be distraught because, embarrassingly at my age, I have fallen in love with him. Happily, he's the narrator so it's very unlikely. But since these novels were written in the 1930s-40s the other day I sadly realised he would be dead by now. If he was a real person. Sad me?

Ginnymweasley · 07/09/2020 17:39

Bobby in supernatural... the way he said "they're my boys and his last memory was of just relaxing with sam and dean" 😭😭 I cried the first time sam and dean both died but now I just expect them to come back to life tbh.
Fred in Harry Potter just unnecessary

Olafinsummer · 07/09/2020 17:39

Then Fred Weasley, then Dobby. In that order.

Derek Shepherd 😭😭 I've seen it 5 times (the whole series) and every time I find myself holding my breath hoping he survives!

33goingon64 · 07/09/2020 17:45

I don't know who most of these characters are! Agree with Matthew Cuthbert. Also, the novels Germinal by Zola and Jude the Obscure by Hardy - both stayed with me for a long time due to the nature of the deaths rather than attachment to the characters.

Catsrus · 07/09/2020 17:45

showing my age.

Doomwatch, the end of season 1 (11th MAy 1970) Killing off Dr Toby Wren (a very young Robert Powell), he was defusing a bomb at the end of a pier - the hero always, ALWAYS, did it and survived, so when the bomb went off I confidently thought that the start of the next season would have his lovely little head bobbing up from beneath the waves as he clearly had jumped to safety.

My mother always said she'd never seen my face so white when they started the next season with an episode called "You killed Toby Wren". I was gutted.

I was 15, never trusted a TV series since, the bastards.
