We watched all of spooks recently - poor Colin and Ruth were the worst of the many deaths in that IMO.

@ShakerCan

Tris (Divergent series)

Gutted

Agree. I thought she was hallucinating. Devastated.
Hanywany · 07/09/2020 20:01

@jenthelibrarian yep defo Henry from time travellers wife it's my all time favourite movie I still cry at that now! 😫

Peanutnpip · 07/09/2020 20:03

Inspector Morse. I still cry at “The Remorseful Day”.

Darkstarrheart · 07/09/2020 20:14

Will - Flambards

SleepOhHowIMissYou · 07/09/2020 20:19

Barb from Stranger Things. She was ugly and no-one wanted to f@@k her so she had no value. Even the programme treated her death like nothing. Really pissed me off.

Snape as mentioned. I wanted Voldemort to 'kill' Harry and then Snape to kill Voldemort in a big reveal. Still sulking about this.

Gabilan and Nellie from Steinbeck's Red pony, not a book for horse lovers. Read this in final year of junior school aged 10. No idea who thought it would be a good book for the school library. Sadists!

MissisBee · 07/09/2020 20:19

Ooh, I just remembered another one - Angel in Byker Grove!!

grifffendor · 07/09/2020 20:20

Dumbledore and dobby in Harry Potter. the horse in the never ending story .

Nigel from The Archers
Yes! Mostly because I was cross they killed him off though.

Have to agree with Meg from Home & Away, Rachel in Cold Feet, Shelby in Steel Magnolias & Ellie from Up.

SleepOhHowIMissYou · 07/09/2020 20:23

@chunkyrun

Marley the dog in I am legend
Her name was Sam. It was weird because you thought she was male all the way through and somehow Sam being female was so much sadder when she died.

I get far too emotionally involved in Tv and movies

I think it was a bit mean to kill off Beth in Little Women, too.

Alcott was the second of four girls, and the third, also called Elizabeth, died in the same year the eldest married a man called John.

I think that's why Beth is so angelic. It's a memorial in fictionalised form to Alcott's own sister.

everythingthelighttouches · 07/09/2020 20:31

The sister in last of the Mohicans

Darkstarrheart · 07/09/2020 20:32

Fred - Angel

Roy Blade Runner

Shireen - GOT

Wheelerdeeler · 07/09/2020 20:33

I did. I know exactly where I was the night it aired. Bawling.

Wheelerdeeler · 07/09/2020 20:36

a teacher here approached a mother as her daughter had asked the class to pray for daphne during class prayers. Just sympathising with the mother..... mother was mortified

Meatbadger · 07/09/2020 20:37

Haven’t RTFT but wondering if anyone has mentioned Birdie from Tottie the story of a dolls house. Absolutely traumatised me as a child.

And Omar in the wire
