Although you don't see him die, finding out that Richard Gilmore had dies in Gilmore Girls: a year in the life. Was sad. Was even sadder to find the actor who played him had sadly died in real life.
Same with the man who died in 8 simple rules

rainydogday · 07/09/2020 07:44

Sonia from neighbours 😭

Lansonmaid · 07/09/2020 07:57

@Ginger1982 I’d forgotten about Mel - I really liked her as a character. That was such a good series

LadyLairdArgyll · 07/09/2020 08:18

Pousse - OITNB 😔
David Suchet's Poirot 🥺
Ellie - movie UP 😥
John Thaw's Morse 😓😓
Vera passing Corrie 😔

too sad

AmberAndAlexsMum · 07/09/2020 08:32

Fili, Kili and Thorin in the Hobbit

PlasticCupPolitics · 07/09/2020 08:33

Bing Bong - Inside Out. Absolutely traumatic
Barbara - Call the Midwife

And lots of others mentioned in this, world’s most depressing thread haha.

But my most recent one & not actually a proper death but the ending of Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes. I can’t get over it. Why did they have to go to the “pub”? Why couldn’t they stay & be happy with Gene. I mean, I know why but it just hurts 😭

PhilODox · 07/09/2020 08:35

@musicinspring1 the big brother in Big Hero 6 Yes! My DS was devastated that the brother didn't come back some how- he wouldn't watch a film again for about four years afterwards!

ilovemyrednosedaymug · 07/09/2020 09:00

Rose in Dr Who - when she is in the alternate universe with the second doctor that Donna creates and she has to say goodbye to the real doctor. (This counts as she is dead in the real world Grin).

iheartwinter · 07/09/2020 09:18

Rachel singing To Make You Feel My Love after Cory Monteith died. So sad, different than just the character dying.

Same in 8 simple rules after the lovely dad died.

LadyLairdArgyll · 07/09/2020 09:20

omg The Champ 😔😓😔😓

echt · 07/09/2020 09:26

It's been said so many times, but the deaths of Lee Scoresby and his daemon, Hester:

"Then she was pressing her little proud broken self against his face, as close as she could get, and then they died.”

FromTheAllotment · 07/09/2020 09:29

Misery Chastain. If I ever get hold of Paul Sheldon I’ll make him pay for letting her die.

@GhostCurry GrinGrinGrin

ZappBrannigan · 07/09/2020 09:34

Damo

shouldhavethoughtthisthrough · 07/09/2020 09:44

Jeffery Tolliver in beyond reach by Karin Slaughter. I've never been so blindsided by a book before, I actually cried!

HellsAngel81 · 07/09/2020 09:48

Prince from The Last Family in England. You kinda know from the beginning of the book, but I was so hoping he got a reprieve Sad

And Charlotte from Charlotte's Web

iheartwinter · 07/09/2020 09:53

ZappBrannigan I forgot how huge that was at the time. Fantastic bit of British soap opera.

Mrsjayy · 07/09/2020 10:42

It's been said so many times, but the deaths of Lee Scoresby and his daemon, Hester:

Shosha1 · 07/09/2020 10:57

@Chopbob I cry ever time I watch Brikeback Mountain. Jacks death is heartbreaking.

GrimmWesenVoge · 07/09/2020 11:07

Wilson in castaway.

I know he wasn't a person so didn't die as such but Tom Hanks grief was tangible.

"Wilson...... WIIIIILLLLSOOONNN..... I'm sorry Wilson" 😭
