@geekone

Egwene al'Vere She overcame so much it seems a shame.
God no she was so irritating and self righteous, didn't like the character at all!
daisychain01 · 06/09/2020 15:48

Richard Adams' description of Hazel's last moments was very bitter-sweet.

MillicentMartha · 06/09/2020 15:48

@Rookie93

Tarka the otter in Ring of Bright Water. Find I can't read it or watch the film again even now.
Tarka the Otter and Ring of Bright Water are 2 different books/films. That spade coming down was awful, though.
tiredanddangerous · 06/09/2020 15:49

Remus and Tonks. Made much worse by leaving a child behind. Jin and Sun for the same reason.
Charlie
Klaus and Elijah
Stefan
Snape
Dumbledore

tiredanddangerous · 06/09/2020 15:51

Jon snow was hideous but luckily that situation resolved itself Grin
Hodor
I stopped watching Walking Dead after Carl. Couldn't take it any more!

SoManyActivities · 06/09/2020 15:52

Ned Starks death in GOT is one of the best ever, because it really made everyone realise what kind of story it was. There would be no 'heroes' and no one was safe!

Had forgotten about Yvonne in Bad Girls - what a horrible way to go Sad

ScribblyGum · 06/09/2020 15:52

@Natsel84 oooh yes Mathew Crawley. What a kick in the emotional nads that Christmas Day tv was. Preceded by the most miserable Call The Midwife ever with a load of dead babies.
Urgh.
Ate half a tin of quality street that night to try and cheer myself up.

MrsToothyBitch · 06/09/2020 15:52

Billy Lloyd-Foxe SadAngry
Henry Blake Sad

Cannot forgive either. I refuse to rewatch Henry's death.

purpledagger · 06/09/2020 15:53

Many Games of Thrones, for different reasons:

Good characters who didn't 'deserve' it;
Ned Stark
Tommen and Myrcella Baratheon

Characters I just loved on screen
Khal Drogo
Tywin Lannister
Lord Varys
Olenna Tyrell
Margery Tyrell
Oberyn Martell

Ones that pulled on the heart strings:
Shireen Baratheon (being sacrificed by her Father unnecessarily)
Elia Martell (having her children murdered in front of her and being raped and killed by The Mointain)

Hingeandbracket · 06/09/2020 15:54

None - although a few in the Wire were a bit of a surprise.

SoManyActivities · 06/09/2020 15:55

When Lisa Faulkner got deep fat fried in Spooks!

Takemetothebar · 06/09/2020 15:56

Derek is dead.

“How about you take a minute to think about the person, the talent, the life that we lost? How about you think before you start complaining that Derek Shepherd's death has been inconvenient for you? '

Sybil Crawley

“I should imagine you miss her more, since you blocked the last chance of saving her life” and “she might have lived, but your father new better and now she’s dead”.

LadyCatStark · 06/09/2020 15:57

Yes to Lupin, Tonks, Hedwig, Fred, Sirius and Dobby. Although Snape gets my number one spot.

Ned Stark, although all the Stark deaths could have been prevented if they weren’t so damn stupid!

Takemetothebar · 06/09/2020 15:57

*knew

TealAndTurquoise · 06/09/2020 15:58

God, yes to so many of these! I cry so easily when someone dies or sad things happen Sad

Dr Greene and Dr Pratt in ER. Mrs Landigham and Leo in West Wing.

A really massive one for me was Ethel in Eastenders. She reminded me so much of my nan and we were completely inseparable. That scene with Dot where she talks about her being her best friend gets me every time. I'm crying now just thinking about it Sad

geekone · 06/09/2020 16:01

Elie the wife I’m UP. That is the most I have cried ever. I forgot that one.

geekone · 06/09/2020 16:04

@CooperLooper she wasn’t my favourite by far but I don’t think she should have died.

Suain Sanche was a bit tragic too. Still Verin that was a good death if sad also. Maybe Bella is the worst death in WOT!

Iorderedyouapancake · 06/09/2020 16:04

The fox cub bold Sad

HumphreyCobblers · 06/09/2020 16:04

Anya from Buffy - I wish they could have redeemed her another way than dying so pointlessly. Why didn’t they block off the passage with a spell or something?

Fred from Angel - just so unremittingly sad, she is so scared and there is nothing they can do. Poor Wesley.

Lee and Hester.

always2ndbest · 06/09/2020 16:05

Hedwig
Dobby

Ellie in Up

Bing bong from Inside Out

Marley the dog

runningonemptyfulloflove · 06/09/2020 16:08

Marley in Marley and me. New it was coming but still cried like a baby 😂 Also the ending to "remember me"

Pertella · 06/09/2020 16:08

Manchees death in Knife of Never Letting Go.

SoManyActivities · 06/09/2020 16:09

Ellie's death in UP! was upsetting, but the bit where he finds her 'Stuff I'm Going to Do' photo album and expects it to be empty because they never did get to go on their big adventures, but then realises she had filled it with all the things they did do together has me like 😭😭😭

I just tortured myself by watching it on YouTube!

ancientgran · 06/09/2020 16:12

Dr Greene in ER, I sobbed and scared the kids.

toomanyspiderplants · 06/09/2020 16:12
