Perhaps your name supermum puts some people off, as in those who are not supermums.

jessstan2 · 06/09/2020 01:28

Change your name to 'soupermum'; we'd all understand that.

I've just seen a lovely recipe for a pithivier.

jessstan2 · 06/09/2020 01:28

@Enough4me

I love my tumble dryer and I have no shame.
Oh me too!
Inkpaperstars · 06/09/2020 01:34

Can someone tell me (embarrassed not to know) what the 'darked on' thing refers to?

Staffy1 · 06/09/2020 01:39

Another tumble dryer lover, although it's kept in the garage with a pile of junk. Poor thing.

Downunderduchess · 06/09/2020 01:45

@Jenasaurus I may be daft but I don’t know what you meant by that

Nannewnannew · 06/09/2020 02:42

It means leaving your washing out overnight in the dark, which apparently on MN is seen as slovenly!
Inkpaperstars · 06/09/2020 02:45

Aha! Thank you @Nannewnannew wouldn't have guessed that Grin

Sweetpea1532 · 06/09/2020 04:37

Also, didn't someone suggest that if you left your washing out for too long that an insect could lays eggs on it? .?..? Or did I dream that? .or make it up??Grin

Sweetpea1532 · 06/09/2020 04:45

It's a DIAGRAM!
With insect eggs🤮
Although not a very good one, but it's late here.

Mittens030869 · 06/09/2020 08:02

@Sweetpea1532 That really does happen in Africa, but only if you leave your washing outside until dusk. You can get rid of the eggs by carefully ironing your clothing, though. I was very grossed out by the mere thought of this happening, however.

It doesn't happen in the UK, though, thankfully.

WhyIsItSoHardToPickAUsername · 06/09/2020 08:07

Tbh though on your period thread you got 3 sensible replies, no one else could add anything different and anyone reading it probably just agreed with the PP. do you need 100 replies all saying the same thing?

It might have been me who posted that😊. I am so glad someone read it.... I'm sure there weren't an awful lot of replies seeing as I posted it.

AnnikaStranded · 06/09/2020 08:33

At least no one has replied with just a Biscuit OP

God I hate that!

Supermum12345 · 06/09/2020 09:31

Hahah this is my first ever thread to have so many replies !! 😂

God I hate that!

What is the emoji supposed to be? To me it looks like a breast. Or a mexican from above at sunset. Or someone trying to shove a baby feeding bottle in my mouth.

And I never understand how does that fit into any conversation. But this thread reassures me i can get away with a daft question like this maybe :)
Or kill the thread, as I mostly do

Nannewnannew · 06/09/2020 10:18

@TheSunIsStillShining, it’s a biscuit! Which shows that the poster is so disinterested that they don’t want to comment!

Gatekeeper · 06/09/2020 10:26

I never really understood that...I would like a biscuit rather than a sarky comment. Looks like a nice biscuit as well...a jam cream sandwich

Thank you. Biscuit never crossed my mind. Also why put it there when you can also close the tab with just one click?

sapnupuas · 06/09/2020 10:43

I feel like I kill threads. I'll comment and no one will respond.

DanielRicciardosSmile · 06/09/2020 10:48

I'll reply. Hello!

longwayoff · 06/09/2020 10:52

Oh OP, get some horrible neighbours who park outside your house. Keep you going forever more.

QueSera · 06/09/2020 10:56

What shall we talk about OP?

Supermum12345 · 06/09/2020 11:17

@QueSera anything you like. What's on your mind today ?

OP posts:
Nannewnannew · 06/09/2020 11:54

@Gatekeeper, ah yes a jam cream sandwich, or a jammie dodger or perhaps a Viennese whirl? All welcome in my biscuit tin!
