To keep these flowers?

Got home to some flowers in a box on my doorstep. Correct address but not addressed to me. There is only a first name. I have no idea who they are for. I've emailed the company but had no reply and knocked on a few doors but no luck.

Can you ring the florist first thing tomorrow?
This happened to me,flowers sent to wrong address with my first name on.
The neighbour just kept them.
When the sender asked me five days later if I liked the flowers(probably wondering why I hadn't thanked them)we realised the problem and eventually found them at a neighbour's three houses down.she had them in a vase display in the window.she had made no enquiries at all with the florist or neighbours.
Do what you can as they could really mean a lot to someone but if no luck then enjoy them.

WorraLiberty · 01/09/2020 18:23

The quickest way to contact the company would be to phone them, surely?

LimaFoxtrotCharlie · 01/09/2020 18:26

If the first name begins with C, they are the flowers that I sent to my friend today

BlueSlice · 01/09/2020 18:33

Could you put on your local Facebook or Nextdoor ‘does anyone know a [name] in X area?’.

Did you take them back or get them replaced?!
Toddlerteaplease · 01/09/2020 18:52

There is no phone number or anyway to contact them. I've emailed via their contact form but no reply as yet. The first thing I did was try to phone the company.

I've knocked on a few doors but no one round here knows their neighbours. It's a student area so very transient. I've found someone on Facebook who could be a possibility as she's a student at the local
University but not heard from her either.

Is there no card from the sender?

MatildaTheCat · 01/09/2020 19:16

This happened to me though I did eventually get through to the sending company. They said to keep them and they’d resend to the correct person. However if yours have your address on then there’s very little more you can do other than stick them in water.

I wouldn't bother doing any more to try and find the person the flowers were intended for. The sender / florist should have made more effort to get them to the right person.

Toddlerteaplease · 01/09/2020 19:49

I've opened them and put them in water. There was a blank card Inside and they wouldn't have lasted much longer without a drink.

MrsTerryPratchett · 01/09/2020 19:53

Since you've put in significantly more effort than the florist or sender , I say you've earned them.

Absolutely call the florist tomorrow.

Toddlerteaplease · 01/09/2020 20:29

They don't bear any resemblance to any on their website. I'd be a bit disappointed if I'd been sent them.

Keep them and don’t say anything.

Being frank, but they look shit.

Sexykitten2005 · 01/09/2020 20:42

What company is that so I can remember never to order them. They look worse than garage flowers

emilybrontescorsett · 01/09/2020 20:46

Oh dear those are dire.

WonderWebbs · 01/09/2020 20:55

@Sheknowsaboutme Sorry but 'being frank, they look shit' made me laugh. If someone sent me those flowers I would be disappointed.

Toddlerteaplease · 01/09/2020 20:57

They are from a company called Seranata. I've never heard of them.

honeygirlz · 01/09/2020 20:59

Those look like the £3 bunch from Tesco Shock

Nice enough, but not worth the cost of delivery.

x2boys · 01/09/2020 21:03

They do look shit ,I have seen much nicer bouquets in Sainsbury's !

x2boys · 01/09/2020 21:15

How weird I have just seen an advert just now for Serenata flowers ,never heard of them before this thread !

Sheknowsaboutme · 01/09/2020 21:18

@WonderWebbs i don’t mince my words😂

They’re bloody awful aren’t they!

AnnaSW1 · 01/09/2020 21:21

Oh god best to keep them. They're a bit underwhelming!

WonderWebbs · 01/09/2020 21:44

@Sheknowsaboutme You were spot on!
