Just popping on to say I'm a convert too (thanks to F&Z), and well done Spin

If you don't like the sight of blood just bear down, close your eyes, grab the ridges, twist and tug, then tip - have tissue poised to give it a quick wipe - and it'll be over before you know it

And yes, lose the tail of torture! I find it has to be positioned quite high and 'twirled' as it goes in or else I can feel it. Then I frequently forget all about it.

Redfox · 07/10/2007 22:07

I have been meaning to buy a mooncup for ages but now I am slightly concerned as I have a normal coil. Any chance I could pull it out when using the mooncup??
I would hate for this to happen and me & my coil get on great! (wink)

Spin - good luck and here's to a clench-free night

Redfox - I wouldn't have thought it would interfere with a coil, the mooncup is shorter in length than eg an 'expanded' Tampax iyswim, and is smooth-edged

AF-tastic Halloween name !!

SpiritualKnot · 07/10/2007 22:41

Does it ever get dropped in the toilet by accident? Just thinking if it's a bit slippery?
SK

AitchyBabesHugz2AllUHunnis · 07/10/2007 22:45

i've dropped it once. don't flush. that's why i always take my 'cup out before i attend to any of my other lavatorial chores...

Louana · 08/10/2007 08:20

Thanks AitchyBabesHugz2AllUHunnis, great name by the way.

AitchyBabesHugz2AllUHunnis · 08/10/2007 11:11

it's making me itch a bit, tbh.

HotLove · 08/10/2007 11:53

try it? if it doesnt work then fine. like everything else on this site i think its good to try it and if its not for you then fine

kikid · 08/10/2007 12:02

Buy a mooncup , tell everyone about it too!!

HotLove · 08/10/2007 12:11

yes well that was my first mistake on mumsnet - eh buckets?

ItsNotOnlyTheGoodBits · 08/10/2007 15:00

Right, being a habitual lurker rather than poster - I have just read the whole thread (took two days on and off)......I am nothing if not thorough.

My first thought was "Mooncup? What on earth is that?" Second thought was "Eeeeewwwww".

Now I think I might get one.

Although i feel a little brainwashed...Aith, f&f, Boca - are you sure i haven't seen you dancing down the street in saffron robes banging tambourines?

AitchyBabesHugz2AllUHunnis · 09/10/2007 18:42

i saw her first!! she's mine, Franny and Boco.

the ones with the most converts at the end of the year get a coffee maker, it's great!

FrannyandZooey · 09/10/2007 18:43

Aw, like I care

I personally sold about 50 in the last year so I can spare you a few here and there

FrannyandZooey · 09/10/2007 18:44

hoooooold on, I thought it was a new egg pan we got?

AitchyBabesHugz2AllUHunnis · 09/10/2007 18:49

oh yes, you're right. like this one perfect for a mooncup stew.

Boco · 09/10/2007 18:49

Rl people i've tried converted have all just stared and gagged - i think i have to work on my sales pitch before claiming the prize. Can it be a waffle maker? Franny has a tambourine, i bet that helps.

FrannyandZooey · 09/10/2007 18:53

Yes I walk up and down the high street shaking my tambourine and singing the Mooncup song

NO-ONE in RL knows I am the Mooncup Queen. I mentioned it to ONE very lovely friend the other day and she said politely "yes I have heard of them, but I thought they sounded completely revolting" so I let her off the hook and changed the subject.

Aitch that is just fantastic. I think it may really be a Mooncup Steriliser - they have just called it that so as to protect the innocent.

Habbibu · 09/10/2007 20:09

We HAVE to have the lyrics to the mooncup song now...

FrannyandZooey · 09/10/2007 20:13

erm

yes

well I can't possibly tell you because Aitch and Boco will sing it and get more disciples than me

[phew]

AitchyBabesHugz2AllUHunnis · 09/10/2007 20:33

this is actually what Franny looks like

do you really wannit?

Habbibu · 09/10/2007 20:35

"Mooncuppy, wider than a mile*
I'm collecting you in style
Down there
There'll be no more cramp and goodbye to tampons
Whenever I'm flowing you're going with me
Silicone cup, off to clean the world
There's such a lot crap in the sea
We're saving the environment
Even in a tent**
My little cuppy friend
Moon cuppy and me"
