AIBU about creepy doll?

My sisters and I have unfortunately been clearing my nans house ready for sale. We found a very old doll that looks a little creepy, it's a young girl doll in hand knitted clothes and probably was my nan's. Nobody wanted her and I've bought her home. Both my children and husband says she's going to come alive and kill us all. I think she will be okay in the attic.
Have I bought a demon doll home?
She needs a name, I was thinking something of the same vintage so maybe mabel?

There are quite a few horror films which use dolls so I assume many people are scared of dolls (at least ones that look 'different')

Definitely! In fact, any pets will growl at her, even when she's 'just a doll'.

I think now she's the daughter I never had.

I once stayed at a B&B near Zion Canyon in Utah. There was a terrifying doll thing that stood facing into the corner of the room. It didn’t actually have a face, which may have made the whole thing worse. We piled all the excess cushions and most of our luggage in front of it just in case.

There was also an ancient pistol (unloaded) hanging on the coat hooks.

The host were absolutely lovely and the breakfast was legendary, but I‘m not sure I’d have wanted to stay another night...

I’d dig a hole in the garden and bury her. She sounds very creepy.

DH took me away once to a (freezing cold) b&b somewhere in the Peak District.

It was a really old house and all round the room were these dolls. They had them on top of the wardrobe, hundreds of them. It was so creepy, and cold. So cold.

I still remind him of it.

Once stayed the night with someone and her spare bedroom was full - full, I tell you- of beady eyed stuffed toys ranged round the room on shelves. And yes, ‘twas a dark and stormy night. 😱

Antiwue dealer? EBay.. People buy anything on there.. Make it a dark scary story to go with the doll and you get a few £££s for it.
Or take it back to nans house and leave it.

Or treat yourself to a film night of Annabell followed by Chucky.. Such fun.

She is totally going to release the loft ladder at 3 am. You'll hear her porcelain feet on the rungs as she descends slowly down, ringlets bouncing and tartan victorian outfit in a suitable red.
