... and leave the rest of us to get on with the work of figuring out how to open up social spaces in a safe way without being distracted by your egocentric tedious freedom fighting? Why do you want to crowd people and breathe all over them anyway? If you don't want to be out and about without doing so, just stay at home. We've got enough to do right now and don't need your nonsense.

If the rules re Covid (including re masks) were logical I'd be more inclined to follow them but they're a complete joke. I could sit in a pub full of strangers for hours without a mask, but can't pop in a shop for 5 mins.

Sporting clubs have had to split training into tiny groups, take everyone's temperature, sanitise the balls etc etc but then after training they all go off to the pub together.

I sanitise and wash my hands, I avoid overly crowded places and observe social distancing in public places but I've made my own informed decision to not wear a mask (where possible).

I wear one. It doesn’t bother me that much. I don’t care if others wear one or not. I barely notice, TBH.
I do think there is some weight in the opinion that it’s a placebo to coax people out of hiding though...

@Foundation, your info on Italy is out of date. Masks are mandatory outside "where social distancing is not possible" between 6pm and 6am. The rules were brought back in a fortnight ago after the recent increases in infection among young people (they're the ones in nightclubs and bars etc) They haven't stopped being mandatory in shops (if the shop owner wants them to be) There are no exclusions. The police are out and about fining people, breaking up groups etc.
Almost 80% of new cases are asymptomatic and of those over 60% have been found to have Covid upon re-entry to Italy from Malta, Croatia, Greece and Spain (order of % of infections)
