Toothbrush and a vibrator?

YodaBabe · 25/08/2020 08:29

So after 23 years together and 17 years of marriage today my husband has presented me with, still in its amazon packaging an electric toothbrush and a vibrator.

AIBU and absolutely happy to admit I am that a drunken purchase Sunday night and a delivery yesterday really is a fucking poor show?

Yes. Yes it is a poor show.

Is this a birthday gift?

LuluBellaBlue · 25/08/2020 08:31

As a random gift, YABU
As a birthday present, YANBU if you make an effort with his birthday

CarrieFour · 25/08/2020 08:32

Depends if it's just a "I was drunk and ordered you these" random thing. Which is kind of cute. Weird. But cute.

If it's an occasion and that's your gift then it's crap.

DevonHoliday20 · 25/08/2020 08:32

This makes no sense. Who ordered it - you or DH? Is it your birthday or anniversary?
What is your AIBU?

YodaBabe · 25/08/2020 08:32

Not even a jokey birthday present that's for our wedding anniversary!

If it is a birthday present then it is a bit
.. weird haha
If it is just a drunken purchase... well.. then it is still a bit weird but also kinda funny

VictoriaBun · 25/08/2020 08:33

I bet the Amazon order picker smiled at that one !Shock

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 25/08/2020 08:33

Grin I would be delighted with both of those things.

It's pretty random and funny.

Yeahnahmum · 25/08/2020 08:37

Oh it's a wedding anniversary present? Well that is just shit then 😅 or maybe not. Youll get super clean teeth and some nice orgasms 😂

GinnieHempstock · 25/08/2020 08:38

Just don’t get mixed up which is which. Grin
Tbh, we don’t do anniversary gifts, so I would just find it funny.

Bananarama101 · 25/08/2020 08:41

Well, I suppose if you run out of charge on the toothbrush you can tape it to the vibrator and carry on using it. The opposite also applies.

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 25/08/2020 08:41

As gifts for an occasion, a bit weird, however like pp I'd be quite happy with them.

Unless he was silly drunk and thought "I know what to get @YodaBabe, she really needs a new toothbrush and vibrator" sounds like the dumb shit my dh would do while drunk.

i'm with you you. I think it's hilarious

QuestionMarkNow · 25/08/2020 09:10

What did you give him for your anniversary?

ZenZebra · 25/08/2020 09:16

It seems an odd choice - unless he thought that it was gold for a 50th anniversary, silver for a 25th and vibrating for a 17th.

GlacindaTheTroll · 25/08/2020 09:18

Does he watch TBBT?

Is he called Gerard?

WhoWouldHaveThoughtThat · 25/08/2020 09:32

That's the trouble with those box sets. I got a coffee percolator and enema kit combo.

Now you really don't want to get those mixed up! Confused

ErinBrockovich · 25/08/2020 09:36

Thought this was going to be a thread about a vibrator that doubled up as a toothbrush, in which case YANBU.

A wedding anniversary gift? I need more context. Had you asked for these things? Does he usually buy you random shit off amazon? Was it a joke? Can you return for credit (for gods sake don’t break the seal on the vibrator or it’s game over).

🤣

I see your toothbrush and vibrator for your anniversary and raise you a pizza cutter and 3 plastic tubs for mothers' day... that he bought with out our children who are 12 & 17

Angelina82 · 25/08/2020 10:52

What did you buy him?

SpongebobNoPants · 25/08/2020 11:18

Maybe it’s his polite way of saying you have stinky breath and he doesn’t want to shag you 😂

Joking of course!

Such a random gift OP

SpongebobNoPants · 25/08/2020 11:19

Me too! I only clicked to find out where I could find such a fantastic invention

KetoPenguin · 25/08/2020 11:24

I thought this was a multi purpose gadget. I would ask him his thought process on this one. What happened to chocolates and flowers? Or a nice meal?

PunishmentSnart · 25/08/2020 11:30

Wait, what? As in, it's 2 in 1?

Like a vibrator one end and toothbrush on the other?
