One of the central figures involved in this protest was the notorious fake whistleblower ex cop Jon Wedger, recently exposed as promoting a debunked SRA conspiracy by Private Eye magazine
Wedger is a dangerous man who is happy to use and exploilt vulnerable adults to promote his various deranged consparcy theories.
a video of him at the protest here
as you can see he is treated as a hero by various people involved in the protest and takes centre stage at one point
Wedger has his own money making enterprise "The Jon Wedger Foundation" which is neither a charity nor a company and keeps no financial records.
Thousands of pounds donated to his "foundation" is unaccounted for, save for £2,000 that was donated to Jayne Senior, a controversial figure who has faced much criticism of late.

Jayne Senior and Sarah Champion have both been involved with and given credence to the debunked fantasist Esther Baker, a self proclaimed SRA survivor. Wedger's recent forays into being an "influencer" centre around promoting horrific 1st person testimonies of VIP paedophile rings and satanic ritual abuse described by mentally ill and otherwise vulnerable people.
Jayne Senior was criticised a recent independent investigation.
SElected snippets from a long The Yorkshire Post article state:
Rotherham grooming scandal whistleblower Jayne Senior “let down” now-adult survivors of child sexual exploitation (CSE) who sought her help through a publicly-funded charity she runs, a three-year £60,000 independent investigation has concluded.
Mrs Senior, a former youth worker who was awarded an MBE in June 2016 for her work in exposing the nature and extent of CSE in the South Yorkshire town and was elected as a Labour councillor earlier that year, has been strongly criticised in a 124-page report investigating allegations against her by 12 complainants.
The grievances centre around her conduct as the chief executive of an organisation called Swinton Lock Activity Centre, which provided support to CSE victims, among other services.
A copy of the report provided by one complainant to this newspaper said several complainants had alleged they had not given permission for details of their abuse to be included in Mrs Senior’s autobiography Broken and Betrayed: The true story of the Rotherham abuse scandal by the woman who fought to expose it.
The investigation, conducted by former interim strategic director of children’s services at Bradford Council Gladys Rhodes White and social work specialist Dr Donna Peach from the University of Salford, was ordered by Rotherham Council – which at the time was one of several organisations which provided funding to Swinton Lock – in August 2016 after complaints about Mrs Senior’s conduct were made to the authority by three people.
Their report has found no evidence Mrs Senior had made any inappropriate financial gain but concluded: “A key complaint from the survivors is that Mrs Senior has inappropriately shared information and misrepresented their stories and has personally benefited from doing so – on balance we partially upheld those allegations.
It added: “SLAC Trustees may wish to consider whether they believe Mrs Senior is able to consistently demonstrate the high levels of integrity and honesty expected by anyone employed to work with vulnerable people.”

a second piece here reports on unprofessional and unboundaried behaviour by Senior, specifically in relation to recommending solicitors to survivors amongst other things.

Wedger's links to Senior is interesting under the circumstances as the complaints against Senior are very similar to some of the complaints made against Wedger by various survivors.
The complaints are that Wedger has used and exploited vulnerable adults to generate revenue streams for himself and to gain clicks and likes on social media.
Wedger is also promoting a range of cheesy merchandise, mugs, T shitrs etc, emblazoned with "I Stand with Jon Wedger".
While Jayne Senior was at no time found to have financially exploited vulnerable service users she did appropriate and distort their own personal stories and narratives without their consent to promote her "memoir" in which she portrays herself as a heroic figure.
In the last few hours videos of Weger's fantasies and lies about his time in the police and his disturbing interviews with vulnerable people have been uploaded by Qanon and Pizzagate promoters in the US, all of whom are promoting Wedger as a hero.
Genuine police whistleblower organisations have expressed concerns about Wedger and his claims,
This is a fascinating yet extremely disturbing situation.
