Every wall covered in Kate Forman fabric (apart from the expense at £90 a metre)?

Yes, it is charming and I would feel privileged to live there.

JadesRollerDisco · 21/08/2020 16:19

That shower is horrible

UnaCorda · 21/08/2020 16:19

It's quite busy, but I don't hate it.

oakleaffy · 21/08/2020 16:21

@ItsIslandTime
The multicoloured glass looks like a window film.
Or maybe a screen print over acid etched glass..
If the former, cheaper than the latter, but no idea where you'd buy it.

Supersimkin2 · 21/08/2020 16:24

Christ, not grey.

Change the lampshades and lose the pics and the mirror, hanging a bigger mirror instead. More light and now looks 21st cent.

Ahh, yes it could be window film. 🤔. I don’t like it so much if it is 😅

Definitelyrandom · 21/08/2020 16:25

Bed, walls, tallboy, floor and rug are ok - but not the "pictures", cushions and the really odd red tassels on the bed.

That wetroom is just bizarre. The real problem is that it does look like a "designed" interior, not something that has evolved with a family or with an eye to what's actually practical.

1forAll74 · 21/08/2020 16:28

No, not good for my eyes that wall covering., and would have to saw the long posts of the bed, they look a bit odd.My cats would use them as scratching posts.

Venicelover · 21/08/2020 16:28

Maybe you could neutralise it by using a plain fabric on some walls?

I quite like it and I could live with it until I was in a position to change it.

Petronas · 21/08/2020 16:29

I really like it - it's not my usual style - I get rid of the signs either side of the tall boy though.

oakleaffy · 21/08/2020 16:30

The room with the wallpaper: The colour reminds me of Measles or Shingles- or maybe red jelly and pink blancmange -that red/pink, and is very overpowering.

Not keen on wallpaper, but love the floorboards.
The bed is nicely made, {as in, the Carpenter/joiner did a good job} but reminds me of Bondage.

Barclay's bank in Bishopston a few years ago had graffiti outside that said ''Strap me to a bed'' in chalk {or maybe white wax crayon?} that always made me laugh.

This was the type of bed the graffiti-ist was probably thinking about.

merryhouse · 21/08/2020 16:31

I like the wall paper fabric but I don't like the nicknacks. What's the point of having a ginger jar in your bedroom? You need a dressing table set. And although I think the signs are ridiculous, they are at least the correct size for the space, which everything on the headboard wall is not.

I too was rolling my eyes over all the French stuff but then noticed the designer's name and thought maybe she is actually French, so ok. (Also excuses coal shoot and dinning room?)

I like the kitchen part of the kitchen but have never liked having a settee in the kitchen (better off having more usable space).

I would be unable to forget the Auschwitz comparison... but I think it only fair to point out that the brickwork is sealed, and I think using the coal chute as a light source was a good idea.

merryhouse · 21/08/2020 16:32

... and am I the only person who thought pp's "paint it grey" was a joke?

Exactly! Something 'Spurious' about window film, compared to the real thing, but much better than nets I was thinking of putting plain ''acid etched'' window film on my lower windows as nets from Ikea are rather 'Oldskool' :)
NameChange84 · 21/08/2020 16:34

No, I find it creepy and oppressive Blush

merryhouse · 21/08/2020 16:34

actually no, being French does not excuse misspelling chute... Grin

oakleaffy · 21/08/2020 16:36

Where are you all seeing the rest of the house? I can only see the bedroom 🤔? Thanks.

BottomOfMyPencilCase · 21/08/2020 16:36

Why would anyone have two identical wall sign thingies on the same wall?
This made me Grin
It's quite common on interior design apps for amateurs to put two identical pictures/signs/paintings in the one room. It rather misses the point of art ... or design. The problem with these signs isn't just that they match each other but that they don't match the room either in style or era. They're a bizarre choice. I wonder if they're hiding a hole in the wall Grin

nowaitaminute · 21/08/2020 16:37

No I don't like the wallpaper sorry

clairethewitch70 · 21/08/2020 16:37

looks like a dolls house to me

Jux · 21/08/2020 16:37

Paint over it, it's ghastly.

I can’t think of a kind or necessary reason to ask this question. Come back, OP. Surprise me!

Melroses · 21/08/2020 16:40

Its nice, but some of the accessories like the small pictures above the bed need to be bolder and bigger to balance.

And yes - lighter plain curtains.

"Hiding hole in wall " 😂 DS as a stroppy teen once punched a Victorian lath and plaster wall causing a big dipped area of cracked/ crumbling lime plaster. I hid the offending mark with a calendar til it could be fixed.
