Just wondering how many actually believe that?

YABU = He is on a camping trip

YANBU = He is not on a camping trip

Personally when I am camping I do find the company of a violinist to be pleasurable, just returned from a week with a 20 something year old violinist and had a whale of a time. We did spaff quite a bit money though.

Clavinova · 22/08/2020 12:12

Ardern had a baby during her premiership and took just six weeks off.

She has a coalition government - her Deputy Prime Minister is the leader of New Zealand First - a nationalist and populist party not dissimilar to the Brexit Party/UKIP - a bit like putting Nigel Farage in charge of the country while you were on maternity leave. Grin

ginandbearit · 22/08/2020 12:35

Well Twitter and tattle life awash with rumours...if he'd just been made Minister for Fun and Shagging he'd be a National Treasure and gone down in history as a force for good albeit with a dodgy background of unintended children..but he's the Prime Minister of a country in crisis and holiday or no holiday this man is not and never has been up to the job ..he wanted the wedding but not the marriage..dont think hell be getting that off Carrie either ...cue violins 😉

KaptainKaveman · 22/08/2020 12:54

Haha yes violins indeed Grin

Clavinova · 22/08/2020 12:57

Well Twitter and tattle life awash with rumours

The Daily Mail are out of the loop then if the rumours are true - or perhaps the Mail's journalist is a frustrated novelist;

"Mr Johnson and Miss Symonds are believed to have spent romantic cosy evenings in the tent with their four-month-old baby son Wilfred and their dog Dilyn while warming themselves by the fire. The couple would have heard nothing but the sounds of waves lapping on the rocky beach below them." ...

Mistlewoeandwhine · 22/08/2020 12:58

Might be crap but...

To think our Prime Minister is not on a camping trip
alliwantisagoodnightssleep · 22/08/2020 13:15

@MNHQ so again, it is ok on this thread to reference Tattle Life, etc but on a thread criticising Harry & Meghan we are threatened with bans. Come on, sort your moderation out!

KaptainKaveman · 22/08/2020 13:16

Yes Clavinova that is truly magnificent prose. It almost gives Mills and Boon a run for its money.

toastmeahotcrossbun · 22/08/2020 13:24

It's irrelevant if he was in Belfast Clavinova because he could have made a statement from there and given interviews and so on thanks to the wonders of the internet.

Brexit, coronavirus...he has to delegate.

Ha! That's all he does do, because he does naff all himself. Worse, he's chosen second rate yes men/women to delegate to.

As for blaming Ofqual Hmm they were doing what the government has asked. PM said at the outset 'the buck stops here.' Empty words.

Also when it comes to the made up cosy evenings in the tent with the baby
a) it was very windy and stormy
b) why would you lift a baby over a fence using 2 garden chairs in the pitch black, when you could have just pitched the tent right in front of the cottage you're staying in. That's stupid.

Heffalooomia · 22/08/2020 13:26

He's just a dick ...completely unable to step up and do the right thing
A useless bolter
At a time of national and global crisis we have a useless dick bolter at the helm ☹️

borntobequiet · 22/08/2020 13:26

We probably do need a Minister for (Socially Distant) Fun and Shagging in these increasingly difficult times.
roundturnandtwohalfhitches · 22/08/2020 13:31

Oh god that bell tent is some sort of sex tent isn't it. So they can do it outside away from the staff. Ewwwh

borntobequiet · 22/08/2020 13:36

Maybe a Sex Tent will become the new Sex Pond.

borntobequiet · 22/08/2020 13:37

As recommended by the Df(SD) F&S.

Clavinova · 22/08/2020 13:39

It almost gives Mills and Boon a run for its money.

Might be crap but...
Part of it is crap certainly - "he hasn't been seen for several weeks" is nonsense - see previous posts.

Clavinova · 22/08/2020 13:43

As for blaming Ofqual hmm they were doing what the government has asked.

Are you suggesting that Nicola Sturgeon and Welsh Labour were in collusion as well? Perhaps Nicola Sturgeon thinks free university fees for disadvantaged students is a waste of Scottish tax payers money?

toastmeahotcrossbun · 22/08/2020 15:28

No idea what you are on about. Ofqual is in England.
I think the government ought to step up and take responsibility, not try to shift the blame. The PM is absolutely useless. By far the worst PM we have ever had. He's been appalling.

catgirl1976 · 22/08/2020 15:44

My understanding is that he has been "fiddling"........where ever he is I can't imagine Carrie will be happy.

Clavinova · 22/08/2020 15:57

No idea what you are on about. Ofqual is in England.

Similar algorithms were used in Scotland and Wales;

"Tens of thousands of school pupils are to have their exam results upgraded after the Scottish government agreed to accept teacher estimates of scores."

"The government U-turn follows an outcry from pupils after a moderation system saw 125,000 estimated results being downgraded."

"The pass rate for pupils in the most deprived areas of Scotland sitting Highers - the equivalent of A-Levels - was reduced by 15.2 percent, compared with 6.9 percent in the most affluent parts of the country."

Peregrina · 22/08/2020 16:01

But really, Carrie was a bit silly to think that a man who has spent his adult life shagging around would change. Unless she thought she could change him.

IveSeenThings · 22/08/2020 16:03

So, alongside becoming a father again, being hospitalised with covid-19, actuallysupposedly running the country, he has time for a quick arpeggio as well? How? Shock
I am just about managing to shower daily atm.

Clavinova · 22/08/2020 16:17

Just seen a similar rumour [28 yr old violinist] dated Jul 15, 2019 on reddit - is this just a rehash of old nonsense?

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 22/08/2020 16:24

I can imagine Boris spluttering 'Fiddlesticks it's poppycock'

toastmeahotcrossbun · 22/08/2020 16:49

That's irrelevant Clavinova because Nicola Sturgeon was very much present, giving press conferences and then dealing with the problem. The contrast with our own PM couldn't be more evident.
