3 bottles of Tabasco.

MaskingForIt · 17/08/2020 16:05

@TheNinjaWife

3 bottles of Tabasco.
Mmm, Cholula sauce. Made in Mexico, but distributes through the USA.
TheNinjaWife · 17/08/2020 16:55

@MaskingForIt

Avery island is in Mexico? I need to consult my map. I was under the impression all Tabasco was made in Avery island. And I thought that was in Louisiana. But I will google.

MissConductUS · 17/08/2020 16:58

My refrigerator is an LG that I think was made in Mexico and I have a German made Miele washing machine, but other than those just about everything in the house was made in the USA.

Tabasco is made in Avery Island, Louisiana but Masking was saying that Cholula was made in Mexico. It is.

Yes, but we've been back and forth between the two countries for the better part of 20 years now.

PickAChew · 17/08/2020 17:01

A lot of curly girl friendly shampoo and conditioner.

Yarn.

PickAChew · 17/08/2020 17:04

I have a kitchenaid mixer, too.

Leaannb · 17/08/2020 17:09

@BlackBucketOfCheese

Kitchen Aid stand mixer Pancake mix Few lipsticks my friend bought back from her last trip The old Martha Stewart stationery range. My 10 year old was made there, although born in the U.K. Wink - I worked there for a period of time.

Although I won’t be getting rid of any of the above, I do now actively try my hardest not to buy anything made in the USA. Nor will I travel there again until they sort out their human rights abuses.

So you are plugging your Kitchen Aid in a transformer every time you use it? Which is extremely bad because it will burn through the motor. If you are not doing that then you bought a Kitchen Aid from Kitchen Aid UK
TheNinjaWife · 17/08/2020 17:13

@elp30

Ok, I see what was meant now. Thanks. I have x 3 bottles of the Cholula too. I love hot sauce. Smile

MaggieFS · 17/08/2020 17:29

@Glitteryone

Candles & my iPhone / iPad.

Why? I’m not sure if YABU or not....

Aren't they made in China?
HoldMyLobster · 17/08/2020 17:56

iPhones are assembled in China from parts made all over the world.

MadameButterface · 17/08/2020 17:58

I have a pair of converse that are so old they are from when they were still made in the USA. You can really tell the difference between them and my newer pairs. The newer soles are way flimsier and the finishing is not as good.

MissConductUS · 17/08/2020 18:00

Aren't they made in China?

They are, but people think of them as American since Apple is an American company.

Petronas · 17/08/2020 18:10

We're about to buy a Tesla and we have a Kitchen Aid.

notmyyacht · 17/08/2020 18:18

I'm American and live in the US so a lot of things, but I'm sure we have plenty of things that were made in China as well, I don't usually check. (And the throw blanket I'm using right now was made in the UK, as was the cute dog pillow next to me!)

MissConductUS · 17/08/2020 18:23

I'm American and live in the US

Me too. I'm a New Yorker. It's always nice to meet another Yank on MN. Smile

Sorryusernamealreadyexists · 17/08/2020 18:24

Not a lot, if anything I can think of. We don’t have a trade deal with them so it’s expensive to import things.

HappenedForAReisling · 17/08/2020 18:25

Too much to mention. And in the garage too (my car).

Manolin · 17/08/2020 18:27

Software, that's about it I think.

And some heritage seeds but I think they were probably grown and packed in France.

ParadiseLaundry · 17/08/2020 18:29

I have some Inkey List products. I'm pretty sure I saw on the packaging they are made in USA

GinWithASplashOfTonic · 17/08/2020 18:38

Are we counting Apple products which are designed in the USA and things from American companies but made physically in China

Yes but only stuff I bought when I lived out there. It was generally poor quality so not a lot came back with us.
