When would you rather your neighbours cut the grass?

Ive got two options on when i can cut the grass today or tomorrow. Both awkward times but my oh and me are shift workers and have 2 under 3.

7pm tonight or 7.30am tomorrow?
Which would annoy you the least?

7pm tonight!

boredwithit · 15/08/2020 16:54

Definitely tonight!

dementedpixie · 15/08/2020 16:54

7pm tonight is best
I'd think you were a twat if you did it at 7.30am on a sunday

tectonicplates · 15/08/2020 16:55

Tonight.

dementedpixie · 15/08/2020 16:55

7pm isn't even late for cutting grass in the evening

BefuddledAsAFish · 15/08/2020 16:55

Definitely 7pm.

isseywith4vampirecats · 15/08/2020 16:56

7pm tonight 7.30 on a sunday morning is far too early

OwlBasket · 15/08/2020 16:56

Yup tonight

SchrodingersImmigrant · 15/08/2020 16:56

7pm is certainly NOT awkward. 7:30AM on the other hand is how bad relations are made... especially since we are talking weekend

Cornishmendoitdrekkly · 15/08/2020 16:56

7 pm tonight.
7.30am on a Sunday morning would be seen as being anti social behaviour in my village.

Mammyloveswine · 15/08/2020 16:57

I'd be furious if my neighbours cut the grass at 7.30am on a Sunday morning!!!

BashfulClam · 15/08/2020 16:59

7pm tonight. We have a building site across the road open6 days a week and start work at 7am. So the only day I get a lie in is sunday...

RiteAid · 15/08/2020 17:00

Definitely 7pm tonight. That wouldn’t bother me at all, but 7.30am would!

Skyliner001 · 15/08/2020 17:02

Tonight but both times are weird unless you are paying someone to do it I wouldn't do it at seven pm

HazelWong · 15/08/2020 17:02

It depends on your neighbours. At 7pm, my kids are just going to sleep and at 7:30am they have been up for a while. So 7:30am for me!

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 15/08/2020 17:02

I think you’ll have seething neighbours if you chose 7.30 am on a Sunday.

LucyTamedOgres · 15/08/2020 17:04

One of ndn once mowed his front lawn at about 7am on a Sunday! We were all thinking wtf!

Definitely mow at 7pm OP Grin

Sparklesocks · 15/08/2020 17:05

Evening works. I think it’s best to avoid as much noise as you can on Sundays!

DeathMetalMum · 15/08/2020 17:06

Tonight. I sometimes cut the grass around 9.30 on a Sunday morning (especially if the neighbour's have been drinking loudly in their back garden until 2am) but I even think that is slightly early for a Sunday.

SchrodingersImmigrant · 15/08/2020 17:06

You shouldn't do it in a morning anyway. It will be all wet AND it's healthier for a grass to do it in the evening.

Sally872 · 15/08/2020 17:07

7pm tonight is not late perfectly acceptable.

Before 9.30am any morning is too early, especially at the weekend.

Roomba · 15/08/2020 17:09

My neighbours hoover their (fake) grass at 6.30am. Anything is preferable to that Grin

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 15/08/2020 17:10

I remember as a kid falling asleep to the sound of distant lawnmowers all summer. It's perfectly normal. 7am, not so much.

Nonotthisagain · 15/08/2020 17:11

Can't believe you'd even consider 7.30am on a Sunday morning! Shock

vagshapedbox · 15/08/2020 17:12

I'd be furious if my neighbour woke me up at 7.30 mowing the lawn! Although my puppy is waking me up at 6 anyway so if you live next to me you might as well crack on. 😡
