When would you rather your neighbours cut the grass?

Ive got two options on when i can cut the grass today or tomorrow. Both awkward times but my oh and me are shift workers and have 2 under 3.

7pm tonight or 7.30am tomorrow?
Which would annoy you the least?

7.30am should never have been an option. That's really selfish on your neighbours.

HarryElephante · 15/08/2020 17:13

Do it tomorrow and 7.30am and report back.

Babdoc · 15/08/2020 17:14

I wish my neighbours would only mow when I’m out. Their mower is ear splittingly noisy and makes my whole house and garden stink of diesel fumes! I can’t even retaliate - mine is a quiet electric model.

Scotmummy1216 · 15/08/2020 17:15

Will mow at 7pm tonight. Would consider 7.30 am because this week got woken by drunk neighbours playing loud music at half 4 in this morning when i was finally sleeping after a set of nights....so kind wanted to leave it to morning to annoy that neighbour and his probable hangover...but wouldn't be fair on my other neighbour

Definitely evening. I came on to say when I'm out but I see that's not an option Grin

Anyone who does noisy outside chores before 8.30am is annoying and my neighbours gardener who seems to find it necessary to hedge trim and strim every week whilst using the loudest petrol driven model known to man can f off as well. I feel better having got that off my chestWink

BillywigSting · 15/08/2020 17:17

Absolutely tonight.

7:30pm on a summer Saturday is fine.

7am on any Sunday is wholly antisocial

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 15/08/2020 17:19

I have an early waker so neither would bother me but for most people 7pm is fine but but 7:30am on a Sunday really not OK.

Spikeyball · 15/08/2020 17:28

We'd prefer 7.30am because we are up and heading out of the house by then whereas at 7.00pm we have to listen to it.

JackPaul · 15/08/2020 18:19

7pm absolutely

Any noisy work before 9am is annoying.

PoodleMoth · 15/08/2020 18:31

Definitely 7pm, even with a toddler I would prefer up to 11pm rather than anything before 9am!

TrickorTreacle · 15/08/2020 18:34

The OP should have written:

"Ive got one option on when i can cut the grass. Awkward time but my oh and me are shift workers and have 2 under 3.

7pm tonight"

Don't even think about the 'other' option!

whirlwindwallaby · 15/08/2020 18:35

Both are fine. Reasonable noise levels such as mowing the lawn from 7am to 11pm wouldn't bother me.

Potionqueen · 15/08/2020 18:35

Tonight before it rains.

That's certainly not fine and if my neighbour mowed their lawn at 7am on sunday, they would find out in how many languages I can swear in!😂
Scotmummy1216 · 15/08/2020 21:11

Well it got mowed tonight there was a party and loud music further up street anyways which was way louder than the mower.
