All those selfish people queuing to come back early from their holidays so they don't have to quarantine and instead go back to work to infect us all .... well thanks a bunch !! ...

I kind of see your point tbh.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 14/08/2020 21:58

More likely to get infected here to be honest.

gobbynorthernbird · 14/08/2020 21:59

Do you think there's a contagion witching hour?

ThisIsNotARealAvo · 14/08/2020 22:01

I suppose they might 'infect us all' if they a) had Covid - there is still a much higher chance that they won't have caught it and b) we all went out of our way to stop washing our hands, keeping our distance and wearing masks.

So basically quite unlikely.

DimidDavilby · 14/08/2020 22:01

I went to France, and then I licked your supermarket. You're welcome.

Audreyhelp · 14/08/2020 22:03

I doubt if they are infected . Annoyed I have missed out on a holiday .

Pixxie7 · 14/08/2020 22:18

We don’t know they are infected our rates are going up anyway.

spudlike1 · 14/08/2020 22:24

Hey @DimidDavilbyvilby 'I went to France, and then I licked your supermarket. You're welcome.'

They’re being selfish by following the rules and going back to their own homes?

SurreyHillsGirl · 14/08/2020 22:27

Oh bore off

Spinachtastegud · 14/08/2020 22:29

I agree with you spudlike1....... both selfish and stupid...oh and entitled!

thesheenofqueaba · 14/08/2020 22:29

We were supposed to go to France this weekend on the Eurotunnel to a private gite in an area where the infection rates are much lower than where I live and the area I'm imply to go on holiday in the uk instead. We aren't going as we don't have the time to quarantine. But I'm bloody fucked off about it.

Userzzz · 14/08/2020 22:31

Get a grip!

Stannisbaratheonsboxofmatches · 14/08/2020 22:34

I do think it’s odd that it wasn’t immediate. Spain was a much quicker announcement to being in force window j think? Is this because better off people go to France?

spudlike1 · 14/08/2020 22:37

@thesheenofqueaba
I imagine the locals are quite pleased to not have you visit

isabellerossignol · 14/08/2020 22:38

They can't win, can they? I could nearly guarantee that next week Mumsnet will have posters moaning that their colleagues didn't come home from France when they should have and now they have to quarantine and can't come to work and aren't they areseholes?

spudlike1 · 14/08/2020 22:43

@isabellerossignol um......they didn't have to go.....
it started here in Feb as everyone came back fron their skiing holidays

but hey lets just carry on as normal and do what suit us

spudlike1 · 14/08/2020 22:50

@AranciaRosso
god help us all ......

OP posts:
isabellerossignol · 14/08/2020 22:50

No, they didn't have to go. But when they went, the advice was that it was ok to go. So they went. They didn't do anything wrong in going, they didn't break any rules.

BillywilliamV · 14/08/2020 22:53

I do wonder what terrible thing has happened to you OP, to make you hate the human race so much?
