Going back to school

I just wondered when most schools go back? My DD goes back on Monday 7th September. Do most kids go back then or earlier at the end of the previous week?

The reason I ask is I've not taken my DC too far afield this summer for fear of crowds. If lots of schools go back earlier then I might be brave enough to take them to a big park in the city.

Voting: YABU - most DC back on 7th
YANBU - lots of DC back before 7th

Depends where you want to go as different authorities (and different schools even) have slightly different dates. Norfolk returns on Mon 7th Sept with teachers in for training the Thurs and Fri before that. SiL's kids are back in school on the Thurs and Fri 3rd and 4th Sept (Derby.)

But will all be back pretty much somewhere around those few days.

I’m a teacher and I’m back on the 3rd with our pupils back on the 7th.

Mine are back sept 2nd I think. Some go back earlier.

Mine is back. My son is quite happy getting back to normal. Hand sanitisers used on entering and leaving each class. A different entrance for each year group and a lot of finger crossing.

2nd Sept for DS, 3rd for DD (same school, he's Y7).

My primary dc back on the 7th.
Secondary dc back 8th but that's because the first day is just year 7 to let them settle in.
I'm in the South.

Wales has to have all pupils back by the 14th.
We are having the normal training days on the 1st and 2nd, then 2 more prep days. The high school is having year 7s in on those prep days as they had no transition visits. Then my dd's year are back in on the 7th, as are our primary pupils.
