To think this is not right. Salad with gravy!

Went out for dinner tonight and ordered sausage and mash from the menu. It said it came with garden peas, but mentioned nothing about salad.

This is gross right?

I haven't read the whole thread, but that picture is disgusting. I would have sent it back. I don't see a problem with having a salad with that entree, but it should have been on a salad plate on the side.

I’m so sorry OP we’ve been through enough this year without you having to be served that!

My gran used to serve salad with gravy (in one of the big plate-sized Yorkshire puddings). I remember it being delicious but I've not dared try it for a while.

It looks like they just chucked the salad on there to try to fill up the plate. Yuk.

I thought this was going to be about school dinners. We always used to have a roast on a Wednesday, mystery meat, roast potatoes, carrots, cabbage, gravy but everyone had to add something from the salad bar to their plate. I used to go for grated carrot but if I sat next to someone who had added coleslaw I couldn’t eat.

I can't eat chips or bread these days, but a chip butty...food if the gods! Crunchy chips, cold butter, vinegar...

It's just as well the chip shops around here are crap! Helps keep me on the strss as ugh the & narrow!!
