To think this is not right. Salad with gravy!

Went out for dinner tonight and ordered sausage and mash from the menu. It said it came with garden peas, but mentioned nothing about salad.

This is gross right?

This reminds me of when we had fish and chips at little Hampton and they put salad on the plate first then served the rest the lettuce went all limp and disgusting from the hot food so wrong, I think you win though

That's dreadful, how could they serve that? There's no mayonnaise on the salad.

We stopped at Subway.I asked my husband to get me a salad sub. When they asked if he wanted it heated he said yes. He has never had warm salad , so why?

Quite apart from the salad nonsense that's a pathetic portion of sausage and mash

Speaking as someone who used to own a guesthouse, that meal, free grub with a Groupon offer or not, should have far more on anyway! Sausages when bought from catering wholesalers are cheap, (or just as cheap if you get stock from Farmfoods!) potatoes cost pennies, frozen peas and a couple of boiled sliced carrots is pennies too. There is absolutely no need to bulk out the plate with a garnish.

Nowt wrong with chips and gravy, it's akin to eat crisps and gravy, you just end up with mush and gravy.

Chips and gravy is a great British tradition.

That gravy needs to go back to it's room to think about what it means to be gravy, get thicker and stop molesting salad

Sorry to turn your stomachs but what's wrong with salad and gravy? I have chicken and salad with chicken gravy with added cayenne pepper at least 4 nights a week. I love it. No need for fatty mayo's, just a bit of bread to mop the plate with. Mmmmm. Can't wait till teatime.
