Aberdeen lockdown.

I have just heard that the city is now on lockdown for at least a week due to selfish people rushing out to the pub.
I live in England and am due to fly back home (I m Scottish) on sunday.
I want to see my 79 year old parents. How many more summers will I see them for?
Aibu to literally break down crying (alone dont want adult dc to see) and drink myself to sleep?
I hate myself for being stuck here. I m a teacher and only have school holidays to go back.
Ds 32 and I have a plan to go back permanently once Dd 26 leaves home but I cant stop worrying I wont see them again.
Df has health problems so I m not being dramatic.
I was in a relationship with an English man,so I stayed here but I m not now.
I m 52 and feel like a little girl and it s taking all my willpower not to cry.
Sorry to unload, I just cant talk to anyone irl as they all know me as the strong one.

Fingers crossed! They put a post on their page someone entered with symptoms/developed symptoms whilst there and instead of asking them to leave they put them in the lounge and then deep cleaned it afterwards

I can’t imagine your flight will be cancelled. Flights between Aberdeen and London have never stopped throughout the last few months. Less frequent yes, but still flying.

Stay away from Aberdeen. We’re locked down and I for one don’t want it extended because people won’t follow the rules.

If you’d parents are as ill as you say I assume they’re either in sheltered housing or have a community alarm service?

Oh and fwiw I know 6 people across 4 households in Kincorth who have tested positive and their families are now all in isolation too.

So this afternoons announcement states you should not be visiting Aberdeen unless for work, education or a medical appointment. I think that is pretty clear.
