Do you think the police acted appropriately given that they had a tip off that a boy was waving a gun around.

I have 2 girls.

You honestly think having red dots on their heads for kill shot is just, ok whatever?

chrislilleyswig · 26/07/2020 01:22

I'll ask again

How do you "play with a toy" which is a replica gun, at night, in your living room?

Do you polish it? Do you holster it with a cowboy hat on? Do you pose with it?

chrislilleyswig · 26/07/2020 01:23

I wouldn't be in that position
ShinyFootball · 26/07/2020 01:24

17 is young.

So is 23.

Did they look like a threat? To have kill shots visibly aimed at their heads?

The lack of empathy is mind boggling.

Nicknacky · 26/07/2020 01:26

ShinyFootball So tell us, what does “a threat” look like?

chrislilleyswig · 26/07/2020 01:26

Did they look like a threat? I wouldn't know as I wasn't there

Do you think the police should have.......well, what do you think the police should have done. "On you go love, you're a woman, no need to check you"

FFS some of these posts are unbelievable

Don't give your 12 year a replica gun

Parent properly

Not hard

ShinyFootball · 26/07/2020 01:27

Erm no comment on the post before that then.

Nicknacky · 26/07/2020 01:28

ShinyFootball Who are you talking to?

ShinyFootball · 26/07/2020 01:28

'Do you think the police should have.......well, what do you think the police should have done. "On you go love, you're a woman, no need to check you"

Wow.

ShinyFootball · 26/07/2020 01:28

You.

Nicknacky · 26/07/2020 01:29

ShinyFootball It’s easier if you say the posters name so they know you are talking to them.

And yes, i have commented previously but even if I hadn’t I’m still permitted to post.

So what does a threat look like?

chrislilleyswig · 26/07/2020 01:33

@ShinyFootball

Erm no comment on the post before that then.
What post? The one about the wee boy playing with his toy?

It's clear you don't like the police, the points in your posts have all been answered over and over.

Why don't you tell me how any normal person would be "playing" with a "toy" as you described.

I see how my kids play.

ShinyFootball · 26/07/2020 01:34

'FWIW I have rung 999 for a crime in progress (bloke beating the shit out of a teen girl) and they did not come.

I have had other experiences with the met that have led me to have a fundamental distrust of them. I don't like the police. I don't like seeing them.

Remember Ian Tomlinson? Where police took their ID numbers off and covered their faces before attending a protest. Killed a man who was a passer by. Lied and lied and lied until footage was seen.

Met kill black men and twice the rate of white.

You all seem very naive tbh.

This was a boy in his home with a toy.

One call brings so19. That is a massive overreaction.'

Andthewinnerislucky · 26/07/2020 01:36

Tbf they would be traumatised though. Unless it's a regular occurrence and they've seen it all, been there done that, anybody would be affected in such situations...even the mum regardless of some of the careless mistakes I think she made.

Making them out to be adults or children or 23 or 17 or 48 or 79, doesn't take away that this would have been an upsetting situation for them.

Being in possession of a toy or bb gun doesn't = you can't be traumatised or greatly affected by having armed police swamp your home and arrest you/your family member.

They'd be rightly traumatised tbf. Doesn't take away from the incident or why it happened. It's okay to say so too.

Nicknacky · 26/07/2020 01:36

ShinyFootball Why are you repeating your posts?

And what does a threat look like?

ShinyFootball · 26/07/2020 01:36

I know what a threat looks like. I'm female!

Met are. Useless. Racist. Misogynist. Classist.

My experience.

Nicknacky · 26/07/2020 01:37

ShinyFootball No, in the context of this incident you say the women were no threat. How would you (or the police) know that?

chrislilleyswig · 26/07/2020 01:37

Playing with a toy?? Grin

Not an overreaction. Well done police

You should go and join math on the ridiculous step

Or maybe you're a dyed in the wool GF

Who knows. Who cares

Your an apologist for police bashing. That's all anyone needs to know

ShinyFootball · 26/07/2020 01:39

Oh I said you only addressed one point. So I put up a post with some other points that you hadn't responded to.

Appreciate your comments.

999 call of teen girl getting beaten up outside our house. Nothing.

I wanted to go out but DH said it was a bad idea.

No interest from police.

chrislilleyswig · 26/07/2020 01:40

My point wasn't about whether they were traumatised

It was that they were described by a PP as small children, then young girls.

ShinyFootball · 26/07/2020 01:43

So you all disregard the actions of met in multiple well to reported situations, including killing black men at twice the rate of white, shooting people dead and lying about it, corruption, sapphire being shut down, met going to police protests with their ID removed and killing a man and lying about it...

Well that's up to you.

I think you're very very naive.

Nicknacky · 26/07/2020 01:45

ShinyFootball So explain how the women were clearly not a threat?

Andthewinnerislucky · 26/07/2020 01:46

@chrislilleyswig So do you agree this incident would have been traumatizing/upsetting to the family then?

chrislilleyswig · 26/07/2020 01:48
@chrislilleyswig So do you agree this incident would have been traumatizing/upsetting to the family then?
No idea

Andthewinnerislucky · 26/07/2020 01:49

Of course. As expected.
