To ask for photos of your wedding dress?

Trying to choose mine, looking for inspiration!

Would be particularly interested to see dresses worn by ladies with my body type (tall, reasonably slim, biggish boobs and hips with a flatter bum).

But mainly just wanted to be nosy!

@HandbagDog I love your dress! So refreshing. I had a small wedding, just family, but I wish we'd made it more causal. My wedding dress was ok, but a waste of money for one day.

@Wolfgirrl you have an amazing body and loom fab in that dress, but ry on lots of other things too.

Graphista I wish I'd read your post 15 years ago when I was looking for a wedding dress.

This is the picture I found in the middle of an almost 17hour nightshift. I then went hunting for a stockist of the dress and found it in my local town after calling all around the nearest big city. I loved it!

I found it stuffed in my linen closet recently and took this snap. I was married 12 years ago so it’s been shoved in cupboards since then 🙈

Now divorced but the wedding day was fantastic, I just wasn't very keen on the dress.

My dress is the exact one that @PushyMeez shared and I felt like a princess. Worth noting that this was my dream dress though - once you start trying them on you'll realise that they look very different on!

Here you go OP, I was size 16, had the straps added from the material they took when shortening it

This is mine. I had it made as I couldn't find exactly what I wanted in the shops. I loved it and it was super comfortable

Does remind me of the smug bride to be I had who pontificated long and loud on how it is "too easy" to get divorced - she was marrying a man she'd known less than 3 months! Pretty sure a divorce was in her future! But didn't say so directly, I did say I'd been through a divorce and it "easy" was the last thing it was! But that I thought it was too easy to get married given the legal requirement is only 3 weeks notice! I fudged by mentioning drunken Vegas weddings

25 years ago next month. It cost £80 and was a cream bridesmaid dress but was exactly what I wanted. Would most probably change my mind now!

Felt a bit safe. I’d lost a bit more weight before the day and it never felt like it fitted quite right as it dropped and I kept standing on it.

@PracticalMagic111 thank you! That’s not actually me, just someone who had a near identical look. My floral crown was daisies and cornflowers :) The dress was a family heirloom, but we had it repaired and altered by someone who specialises in selling and redesigning vintage dresses - her name is Jane Bourvis, and her work is amazing!

This was mine. 1st marriage was early 90s and i wore a huge white monstrosity and hated it. I always said i would have a scarlet ball gown if i married again- and i did. I loved this dress so much.

Here's mine! I loved it and still do, very much. Not what id have picked when I imagined my wedding dress but as soon as I tried it on, I knew it was the one.

We'll have been married three years this September 🙂

Mine was from Ellis Bridal... also at the time when nearly all wedding dresses were strapless but not what I wanted! I'm 5ft, and at the time was an 8 on top and 12 on the hips.

This was mine. I loved it so much.

Loved my wedding. Happened 6 years ago in September. Here's the dress.

Mine here. Didn’t want white we had 2 children and was abroad. I loved it.
