To ask for photos of your wedding dress?

Trying to choose mine, looking for inspiration!

Would be particularly interested to see dresses worn by ladies with my body type (tall, reasonably slim, biggish boobs and hips with a flatter bum).

But mainly just wanted to be nosy!

This was my dress (not me in the photo but the belt is similar to what I had too!). It was totally different to what I wanted when I walked in. I'd decided I wanted sleeves, a pretty back and not slim fitting. I tried it on and didn't want to take it off!

Beautiful dresses ladies, you all look stunning! I’m not even in to weddings but I’m really enjoying this thread. We all need to have more confidence in ourselves, so many people saying that they don’t like parts of their bodies but the beauty really shines through in these photos

This was mine. The bolero was removable and the dress was strapless so I had spaghetti straps added made from the alternation remnants.

I got married in 1993. At that time my dm was spending a lot of time in USA and bringing American bridal magazines home. I saw a dress in one I absolutely loved, and since dm was due to go back to USA before my wedding, we contemplated her just buying it, bringing it back, and having it altered to fit.

In the end, we decided to get a local dressmaker to make it and I really wish we hadn't! All the components of the original dress were there but it didn't work somehow, didn't look anywhere near as nice as the magazine picture, and I hated it!

This was mine. It was Alfred Angelo, from 2009. The lace sleeves were a jacket, the dress itself was strapless.

I tried this one in yesterday and I LOVE it. It is a very floral lace design so good for spring I think? Does it make my hips look too wide?

What a difference between the model photos and the real pics of the dresses 😆 sadly they never look as good as you want because it's all fake! But it's definitely how you feel in it and what suits your shape. Just don't compare to the model photos or you will just feel gross... when your not. Be yourself x

I love them all! So I have put down a deposit today on the Annabel by Romantica! Would be really interested in genuine opinions - dont worry, even if you say it is hideous, it makes me feel a million dollars just intrigued as taste varies so much!

This was mine, another Maggie Sottero (Victoriana) - very much not a short tea dress! I adored it, I thought all the beading was beautiful. (Neither pic is mine).

This was mine. Not me in the pic I tried selling it but nobody was interested so it's just in the loft.

I am also 5ft10, slim but hardly any boobs when I got married.

I got married in Scotland in 2004. Loved my dress. Wish I could still fit in it!!!
