Craig Tara in Ayrshire is a Haven resort in Ayrshire with lodges and caravans with sea views, its on a slope and you can pay extra to guarantee a sea view.
There is a wonderful farm park next door called Heads of Ayr which has taken hygiene and distancing very seriously, a beach, and soft play and swimming pool, although these aren't open just now.
There is also Ayr 8 minutes away with beach and play areas, and Kelburn Castle further up the coast so lots of other things to do.

Awww thank you ..Ayr is a bit too far away ....im thinking devon..dorset...cornwall ...tenby ....xxxx

Loch Lomond luxury lodges are gorgeous. No sea view though.

Backtoreality1 · 23/07/2020 14:34

Google?

DefConOne · 23/07/2020 14:35

Landal Gwel an Mor in Cornwall has lodges with sea views and hot tubs. Soft play, clip and climb, animal activities on site, pool, beach in walking distance. Not cheap though.

Tywyn, Mid Wales - try Lounge Holiday Lettings.
Lots of houses overlooking the sea, and Tywyn is a nice quiet family resort with lots for little ones to do either in the town or nearby. There’s a playground, crazy golf, paddling pool, rock pools at low tide, penny arcade etc.
Or you could look at Barmouth or Aberdovey - both have donkey rides, Aberdovey has crabbing off the jetty and Barmouth has a little fair. Tywyn, Aberdovey and Barmouth are all on a main train line too so you can have a break from driving if you want.

Papergirl1968 · 23/07/2020 14:39

Ps those are mainly flats and houses but if it’s specifically lodges you’re looking for, I think Aberdovey has a holiday park.

HappyHammy · 23/07/2020 14:40

Haven in Exmouth, they have caravans and lodges and a private beach.

5sacrowd · 23/07/2020 14:45

Hoseasons Sandymouth Bay near Bude is fab, DD & I stayed in the Tintagel beach shack overlooking the sea.

We have been 3 times, since.

DD was 4 when we first went & loved it.

Yeah, for something important. This is a question about holiday homes. Confused

saveforthat · 23/07/2020 16:31

I don't know who gets to decide what is important but after lockdown I for one would like to see the suggestions. All kinds of subjects are posted here if you are not interested don't read them.

frustrationcentral · 23/07/2020 16:52

Ladram in Devon is lovely

penelopeplums · 23/07/2020 16:55

@Giganticshark

Yeah, for something important. This is a question about holiday homes. Confused
I didn't realise that MN paid people to make decisions about what was important enough for AIBU, how do I apply?
Hooperjooper · 23/07/2020 16:56

Carmarthen Bay Parkdean Resorts. They have lodges right on the sea front with brilliant views. They have hot tubs for some the them too. We've stayed there 3 times with a 6yo and 4yo and loved it. Very near Tenby and loads of things to do nearby (as long as they're not all closed because of vivid)

Northernsoullover · 23/07/2020 17:01

Try Timber Hill in Broad Haven or Pinewood in Saundersfoot. Timber Hill doesn't have sea views but its idyllic and has huge green space safe for little ones to let off steam.

Ionacat · 23/07/2020 17:03

Another vote for Ladram Bay in south Devon, they have views of the sea and it has its own private beach.

MissHoneysCottage · 23/07/2020 17:12

Another vote for Ladram Bay. We are here at the moment and it's honestly been one of the best holidays we've ever had. The views are spectacular. And my 7 year old has enjoyed the play areas and the entertainment. Although it's not a full entertainment programme at the moment, they have really made an effort to still put on as many activities as they can. We will definitely return next year when hopefully it's all back to normal.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 23/07/2020 17:17

There’s a nice caravan site in St Davids in Pembrokeshire. Only caravans and 1 Lodge but they all have amazing views of the sea. caerfaibay.co.uk/
