@Backtoreality1

* Google?*

Have you heard of trip advisor?

Turns out people like recommendations for their holidays.

Camber sands - few options there Worth exploring and sublime beach

Northernsoullover · 23/07/2020 18:22

@Giganticshark are we only supposed to be on MN for important stuff now? Why bother commenting? You should have saved your keystrokes for something important Hmm

MaskingForIt · 23/07/2020 18:26

Braunton beach in north Devon: www.sauntonbeachvillas.co.uk/

Carbis bay in Cornwall has lovely lodges/apartments just next to the beach. Its gorgeous. Theres a big hotel there too.

Featherfriend · 23/07/2020 18:40

Although it was 10yrs ago I was there so could have all changed Confused.

Nat6999 · 23/07/2020 18:41

There are some nice caravan parks at Newquay, pick a luxury caravan, they are all very near the sea.

DeeDimer · 23/07/2020 18:42

Have a look at Gwbert, near Cardigan. Amazing views, fab beaches nearby plus the sweet Cardigan Island Farm park and Folly Farm about an hour away.

Another vote for Tywyn / Aberdovey- we are staying in a self catered house on the beachfront(lounge lettings have loads in the area, some with hot tubs too). Also the Tallylyn railway is open for a day trip, though a bit expensive as you have to pay for a whole compartment. Wlcab recommend it though if you can afford it x

Beverley Holidays nr Paignton. It has loads of entertainment for kids, indoor and outdoor pools (although only the outdoor one open at the moment), a Restaurant and Takeaway. Great views over Torbay.

If you would consider Wales the haven site hafan y mor ha a wonderful sea view lodge that we stayed in. Views were incredible and the lodge itself was incredible with a hot tub too!

gottastopeatingchocolate · 23/07/2020 18:56

Landal Gwel an Mor in Cornwall has lodges with sea views and hot tubs. Soft play, clip and climb, animal activities on site, pool, beach in walking distance. Not cheap though

I was going to post almost these exact words. (Soft play might be closed)

Solva in Pembrokeshire is perfect for four year olds, a tidal harbour which offers crabbing and paddling at high tide and a sheltered, safe paddling beach at low tide. Lots of cafes, pubs and things to enjoy and several beaches within a ten minute drive. Lots of rentals have beautiful sea / harbour views but I don’t know if you’ll get one at this late stage, suspect they might all be booked up.

Papergirl1968 · 23/07/2020 19:06

Oh yes, Broad Haven was another place ideal for young children, with apartments right opposite the beach. I think we booked through Stay in the Havens.
The Isle of Wight is also very child friendly.

HelloCanYouHearMe · 23/07/2020 20:48

@5sacrowd thanks for the tip - just booked myself a bargain for Sept!!

Northernsoullover · 23/07/2020 20:49

@YgritteSnow are you sure its important? Wink

Londonmummy66 · 23/07/2020 22:03

Bedruthen Steps Hotel in Cornwall is perfect for a 4 year old but eye wateringly expensive

vintagesewingmachine · 23/07/2020 22:45

Try Weymouth in Dorset. 3 Haven holiday parks plus 2 independent parks - Waterside and Chesil Vista.

Have a look on Airbnb. It's one of my go to' searches when looking for a mini break.

I've just booked a cottage in North Devon for 4 nights in August.

You along with many millions of others! Availability is very limited.

I booked long before lockdown. Paid deposit. Desperate to pay outstanding but owner has gone very quiet on me....
