To think it's disgusting to stick your tongue out in photos

I probably am being unreasonable.

But I think it's revolting when you see photos of people with their tongues sticking out.

Why do people do this?

God I do it all the time if I'm taking jokey photos! Never realised that a tongue could be seen as disgusting...

As long as it is a clean pink tongue it is okay with me.

I find it off putting, in that people do it in a sexual/suggestive manner - atleast, that's my interpretation of it. Something about that just feels vulgar to me.

Wouldn't say I find it disgusting though, it's just someone's tongue.

The silly tongue peeking kind don't bother me at all. Sometimes I find it endearing/adorable and amusing unless it's in every single picture, then I'm bored

It's more cringe, embarrassing, something young girls do and I'm sure they'll look back in a few years and think God what a tit I looked.

I am with you on this OP, because I know someone who used to do this in every photo. One of his young children does the same thing - I think it may have stopped him from doing it a bit, because you notice it more when someone else does it, if that makes sense.

What seems like fun when a photo is taken of you is more irritating when you are trying to get a photo of someone else!

Yes, it's not an anus or a penis, obviously. But it's probably next to these things if you had to list parts of the human body you don't want to look at.

I think it's an overreaction it 'makes your stomach turn' and you sound a little anxious when you talk about gross saliva coated tongues. Are you generally quite twitchy about germs/cleanliness etc?

I think it's pretty grim and immature. It spoils the photo and just seems to be a form of attention-seeking. Fair enough if the person is aged four years old, but it's pretty stupid when it's someone in their twenties.

I seem to be in the minority, but I'm with you, OP. Someone said they don't know how people have the time to get upset about things like that - I don't think anyone is upset, and it doesn't take any time at all to feel something - disgust, irritation, whatever - while scrolling through Facebook!

When I was younger I used to twirl ( not sure if that's the right word) so it showed the whites on my eyes.
I had a friend used to stick her tongue out- it was a sort of trade mark for her.
What I mean is that ppl act in difference ways and for different reasons . I say let them get on with it, there are certainly better things to be disgusted about, than how someone wants to look in pictures.
