As mentioned on a previous thread I only wash my 8 year old daughters hair once a week but it’s starting to look greasy by the end of the week so I’m going to start washing it twice a week.

Lots of people think it’s gross but I really don’t. Her hair doesn’t smell it’s just starting to look a little greasy by the end of the week. My hairdresser only washed hers once a week and suggests I do the same (I can’t get away with it though!)

Dd10 washes her's 2-3 times a week. I wash mine about the same. Ds13 washes his greasy teenage hair daily or he stinks.

Dd always has her hair braided during the week ( when in school) that seemed to keep it nicer that if left out or just tied up where it seemed to start to smell more quickly.

'I think I’ve washed my almost 3 year olds hair maybe twice in his life'

Is this for real? If so that's awful

For me it's not just the look of their hair that matters it's the smell. Kids who's hair is only washed once or twice a week must be smelly surely?

I'm the same. One of my kids I wash about twice a week and it's fine. He has short straight hair. The other one has curly hair. It never looks like it needs a wash but gets smelly if it's washed less than every other day Confused

Twice a week same as me. But she washes her own hair!

I have two boys. They get their hair washed once every two weeks or when they get dirty. Or if they have a haircut. Frankly mine only gets washed when I feel it’s too greasy/horrible to carry on (and sometimes I can still leave it a week) we all have short hair though.

Dd5 curly hair. Every other day plus on days when she's super sweaty. I was mine every day because it makes me feel more awake in the morning. 9month DD has a bath every night and what hair she has gets washed then
