For two adults and a 13 year old. We already have an escape room booked but looking for something else fun and quirky and interesting

This is not an AIBU. Try Google or Tripadvisor maybe.

AramintaPepperminta · 19/07/2020 20:28

So sorry to trouble you. Were you particularly busy and needed to take time out of your schedule to answer me?

Get over yourself. I'm looking for some recommendations and you're not the AIBU police

The castle museum is cool!
And the university, some bits are open to the public

AramintaPepperminta · 19/07/2020 20:52

@JanewaysBun ooh thank you. I'll look at the castle museum

@Lockheart is correct. Wrong board.

AristotleAteMyHamster · 19/07/2020 20:58

Any of you into Harry Potter?

@AristotleAteMyHamster Have you done that tour yourself? Just wondering if I should book. I am into HP and going to Oxford soon. My partner not so much but he could easily be dragged along Grin

Punting is fun.

AramintaPepperminta · 19/07/2020 21:05

@luckylavender and again - you're not the posting police. Don't waste your time commenting if you have nothing to add. Or maybe report me to teacher?

OP posts:
AramintaPepperminta · 19/07/2020 21:05

@Abraid2 of course! Didn't think of punting. Great idea thanks

We did a boat tour which was good. Went past all the university boathouses and got told some of the history behind them.

Abraid2 · 19/07/2020 21:06

My teenagers always loved it.

AramintaPepperminta · 19/07/2020 21:06

Yes I think mine might enjoy some punting!

The HP tour looks good too

I haven’t, but I’ve heard good things from a couple of people who have and it’s on my list for the next time I get to Oxford.

AriettyHomily · 19/07/2020 21:17

Sup?

AppleCrumbleCake · 19/07/2020 21:21

Crocodiles of the World is just outside Oxford.

goose1964 · 19/07/2020 21:22

We've done the Ashmolean and Pitt Rivers museums, the walk along the river is beautiful too. If you like Thai food then the Chiang Mai is superb, it's down a little alley so not the easiest to find.

Wallywobbles · 19/07/2020 21:29

We did an amazing walking tour where we had to find things on buildings etc. Despite having lived in oxford it took me to places I'd never been before.

Really excellent.

claireyjs · 19/07/2020 21:45

Crocodiles of the world in Brize Norton about half an hour from Oxford.
Punting on the river is fun
Cotswold wildlife park

Beachcomber74 · 19/07/2020 21:50

Oxford Water Park really fun

Blenheim Palace has some good outdoor cinema

ToBBQorNotToBBQ · 20/07/2020 00:46

What's the castle museum?! Oxford castle? Is that not still closed? Museums were still closed last week. If it's the escape rooms near kassam stadium good luck with that.... you'll want a stiff drink after.

ToBBQorNotToBBQ · 20/07/2020 00:52

Wet and wild is good fun I hadn't realised it was back open so glad i clicked on this.
