Fridge? It has never occured to me to do such an outrageous thing😮😂- Actually in one of our hottest Spanish summers DH put chocolate in the fridge and it came out like tooth breaking bricks.
I'm interested why people do this? It totally changes the texture and you loose the flavour completely in my opinion. It becomes something else.
Cool cupboard for me (assuming it's hot out), otherwise standard cupboard or secret hiding place (as yet undiscovered by DH- suggestions for new places gratefully received!) is best for me.

After Eights or other mints should be kept in the fridge. Everything else needs to be a bit melty so room temperature.

Yes room temperature all the way!! My DH is the same and any chocolate he gets for himself is put straight in the fridge. Barmy!

@GlamGiraffe since you ask, I love the crunch and snap, followed immediately by the way it melts in the mouth. Personally I don’t think the flavour is lost. I eat a lot of chocolate 😄 That said I’m perfectly happy to eat lowbrow chocolate (although I draw the line at Quality Street) so make no claims to a superior palate 😁
