Did I hear that right that the west indies cricket team came to the UK on the 3rd june in the middle of a global epidemic and that's ok. I am in scotland and we cant even get in to see my 100year old granny yet in a care home which is fine . What the hell

I do not follow any sport. But I understand that so many people rely on it for jobs. It is also a welcome relief to others who are bored stuck shielding and good for the mental health if those who enjoy watching it.

I am pleased that they have found a safe way to play.
Also pleased that local teams are so slowly getting back to it as and when they safely can do so.

Definition of the word Sacrifice - A sacrifice is a loss or something you give up, usually for the sake of a better cause. Parents sacrifice time and sleep to take care of their children, while kids might sacrifice TV time to hang out with mom and dad. The other main definition is the Biblical one, and I really don't think anyone has been slaughtering animals ritually because of Covid 19, at least not in the UK!

I (and other posters on this thread) have asked you why it seems to just be cricket you are so incensed with. There are other sports going on all around England that involve comparatively more mingling of different people, but you aren't going on about those.

Your later posts have been centred around the word "Sacrifice" (see definition above), but your OP didn't mention that.

Cricket is surely one of the better sports to restart. Less close contact than football.

Behind the scenes. I found this on the ECB site.
So much prep has gone into this.
