To ask what you think of mom jeans?

My daughter got me to try some on and...
To my surprise, I like them! What are your goes on mom jeans?

I love them on other people and wish I could pull them off. I definitely can't.

I love the look of them but sadly they do not suit me. I wish they did.

I don't understand the love for wide cropped trousers, ankle-grazers, and the god-awful french tuck. all might look fine if you are built like a model, but not if you look like me.

Mom jeans remind me of the 1980s.

I like them and buy vintage which suits me as I’m smaller in the waist, bigger hips. The only thing with vintage is denim so stiff they’d stand up on their own! . I wear mine with neat tops that end at the waist and a more fitted top half generally otherwise it looks like a badly tied paper bag in there, also very dated.

I've got a pair I'm getting used to wearing them. The thing is you need completely different tops to what you'd wear with skinnies, something slim or tucked in.
I have a few outfits now and rarely go for my skinnies now.

The Topshop "premium" mom jeans are great but often out of stock, I have a pair of the normal ones and they're so uncomfortable and don't look great on me in my opinion, the premium ones have some stretch and are a slimmer fit and look nicer at the back I think! The denim is really soft

I like jeans to have a higher waist

Agreed. Very few people actually look good in jeans. I don't understand the appeal of a boring, ubiquitous garment which flatters hardly anyone.

These are the wide at the top, narrow at the ankle ones? Hate them. The only people they look good on are the ones who'd look good in a bin bag.

They are designed for curves - if you don’t have a defined waist then they won’t look great.

I have a small waist and I large bum and they make my bum look even bigger. Don’t like them at all!

Surely they are called mom jeans because they are the awful, unflattering things our mothers wore in the 80s/90s? As worn by young hipsters who appear to have hit the charity shops to find the ugliest clothes they can find? Fine if that’s what you are going for, but I’m going to stick with clothes actually designed to look nice, rather than “ironic”

Omfg Banarama jeans. Not a chance in hell will I wear those. They're hideous.

Even models struggle to make them look good. In real life I’ve never sen anyone who does make them look good. They are Called mom jeans as they are literally those unflattering jeans moms used to wear.

I just were them rolled up with a cropped white shirt

Yeah, they completely steamroller my arse. Easily the most unflattering jeans style I've ever had the misfortune to try one. They disgust me.

I'm a pear shape and think they'd make my bottom half look even bigger. I'm not that keen but if they suit you then go for it!
