To ask shewee or other similar devices?

We will be spending some time in places with no public toilets but also not really any bushes to crouch behind, so considering one of these.

Does anyone have experience of them and tell me, are they actually any good?
Do they actually allow you to pee discreetly without dripping on your clothes or shoes?

And is sheewee the best brand or are other brands better?

Haven’t tried other brands, but have a shewee & it’s been fine. I would suggest a good bit of practice first & id still want to be somewhere um, sheltered if not private. Also I’d carry tissues just in case.

I've got one, I've not used it "in the wild" yet, but definitely practice in the shower first as it can only handle a certain volume and you might need to temper your flow!

I didn't get on with the shewee, it leaked. I've got some disposable urine bags for emergencies. They've got a soft funnel at the top and the wee goes into the bag and is absorbed by crystal. Can't master them sat down, but stood up they work well.

I didn't get on with the shewee, prefer the pibella. I carry a spare pair of shorts in my bag just in case! You need to practice wearing the same clothes you'll wear out.

Traveljohns were always my choice in my festivalling days, when I wanted to avoid traipsing across a dark field to the toilets at night.

I got Zacal Female Urinal, for £5.99 on Amazon and wish I'd got one sooner! Even my DD can use it so I got her one too

Sheewees remind me of wet clothes in my festival days. Haven't tried them for a long time then may have got better, or may be easier to use when not erm under the influence.

-There aren't always trees.

-You might not be wearing appropriate clothing to do this (without completely exposing yourself).

-It doesn't always go where you want it to (so your clothes/shoes get covered in urine).

-Not everyone has the flexibility/mobility to squat.

Need any more reasons?

Travel John do a Travel Jane version which I use when I go to festivals to save the 2 am traipse to the loos. They hold more than one wee (but 3 is about the limit I found) and the liquid turns immediately to a solid so no spillages (and no smells).

Best used with skirts or dresses as I would imagine too difficult to manoeuvre with trousers if you don't want to pull them down.

A similar thing was used by women in the 18th century in church for long sermons. Probably fetch a fortune in the Antiques Roadshow.

We have a memorable experience DS - aged 10 (but maybe the size of a 12year old) needed a wee in the car and we couldn't stop.The empty bottle came out (maybe 500ml) and he proceeded to wee in that....and wee and wee and it eventually started spurting all over the car and over everyone else!

The moral of that is /......don;t wee in the car.

But then, im someone who would love to own a real penis for the day.

I have one. Not great with leggings, you need a scarf if you're wearing them. Fine with jeans. Not peed on myself yet.

What do you do with it after you've used it? You can't put it back in your bag dripping with pee.
