Just that really

TornadoOfSouls · 10/07/2020 17:18

Yes, very much, but I know a lot of people who don’t.

bellinisurge · 10/07/2020 17:18

They're alright. We've had our ups and downs. Bonded again when our mum was very sick and later died.

AlexandPea · 10/07/2020 17:19

No

SecretWitch · 10/07/2020 17:19

Yes, they have all been my greatest support. I feel very lucky.

Yellowpepper2010 · 10/07/2020 17:19

Yes absolutely, best friends for life

Chaaaaaching · 10/07/2020 17:19

We used to fight like cat and dog until we both moved out of the family home. Now we get on but are like chalk & cheese, we have nothing in common it’s strange to think we were raised under the same roof.

Hayes178 · 10/07/2020 17:19

I like 1 out of 6

LochJessMonster · 10/07/2020 17:19

Yes. My sister is one of my best friends. We were incredibly close growing up, we have similar interests and get on very well. Speak to her every day.

thebear1 · 10/07/2020 17:20

I love them, often like them, but our relationship is complicated as one of us gets on better with our parents than the other so there is some tension.

BlusteryShowers · 10/07/2020 17:20

I've got one sister, two years younger and we are very close. Didn't always get on during teenage years but I think that's common.

I've got a son and a daughter and sometimes I worry that they won't be in touch with eachother much when they get older, in the same way that two same sex siblings can be.

Chilly567 · 10/07/2020 17:20

Yes, I don't know what I would do without them. They're my favourite people to spend time with.

Caramel78 · 10/07/2020 17:22

I’ve got one older sister. We get on quite well but if we weren’t sisters we probably wouldn’t be friends as we have hardly anything in common and very different personalities.

SimonJT · 10/07/2020 17:24

No, we’re all very very different people, none of us would choose to be friends with each other. My brother is a good person in his own way, my sister is an awful human being.

Floralnomad · 10/07/2020 17:25

I get on with both of my sisters but one of them is my best friend as well .

WhatWouldYouDoWhatWouldJesusDo · 10/07/2020 17:27

No.

One has Mental health problems and has used that to bully us for years, picking us off one by one.

My brother I get on with, but he pisses me off because he never made the effort to make sure our DC built up a relationship and was an absolute pushover to his ex wife. When she buggered off with some bloke she met on tinder he expected all the support in the world. And tbh we'd built our own lives which he didn't factor into by that point.

One's vulnerable so I'll always feel a sense of responsibility. She'll probably end up homeless at some point as she's shit with paperwork. I've made it very clear that if she messes up again and her and her dd end up homeless I won't be taking them in (( but let's face it, I would )) she's meant to be getting some help with paperwork etc as she's been flagged as a vulnerable adult.

We're all pretty fractured. I try not to get involved in any drama, I know I'm seen as a bit of a selfish, hardfaced cow but the reality is I don't want to shoulder anyone elses bullshit other than my own. As a result I'm very low contact..........which is sad and lonely at times but it is what it is. Self preservation comes first.

CookieMumsters · 10/07/2020 17:28

I dont dislike my brother, but I have nothing in common with him. He'd help me if I asked, and I him but we usually just make polite small talk.

quarentini · 10/07/2020 17:29

I'm completely no contact with my brother and sister.
They are just horrible people.

PumpkinP · 10/07/2020 17:29

Nope and I don’t speak to most of them.

formerbabe · 10/07/2020 17:29

Yes...talk every day, see each other several times a week. I'm always surprised how many people on here don't get on with their siblings or talk to them much.

NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace · 10/07/2020 17:30

Yes, I adore my little sister.

ExtremelyBoldSquirrels · 10/07/2020 17:30

No. I have one sister and I've never liked her. I barely ever see or speak to her.

dewisant2020 · 10/07/2020 17:30

I love my sister but we literally have nothing in common, I find her overbearing and annoying at times but she's my family so I make the effort

HelenaJustina · 10/07/2020 17:31

Love ‘em. We are a big gang, they have my back and I have theirs.

eatyourcake · 10/07/2020 17:32

I love him, but don't like him sometimes simply because we aren't compatible and more often than not end up in screaming matches and slammed doors, we disagree on most things, he's the only person who can make me so angry!

thisstooshallpass · 10/07/2020 17:33

Twin sister, best friend.
