To ask, does anyone have sex like they do TV dramas?

During lockdown I’ve been watching The Affair, it’s a great drama but I am wondering if the sex reflects anyone’s real life? Even before 4 x children I don’t remember sex like that on tap 24/7, starting to wonder if I’ve missed out. I don’t even fancy Dominic West but I feel a bit upset that I’ve never been in a relationship like this.

Sometimes the sex becomes a bit competitive. Some of my best sex has not been swinging from chandeliers!

In terms of pure mechanics, the most successful sex I ever had was on the stairs.

Unfortunately it was with an absolute wanker, so it doesn’t count as the best. I look back with a shudder, despite the excellent orgasm.

My sex life tends to resemble Last of the Summer Wine. Actually that would involve some doddery fumblings by a canal, excitement and a quick escape on a bicycle, so I would say Father Ted is probably more accurate.

Well ladies I’m going to have to say YES, I was married for 33 years and had an amazing sex life, my husband was fantastic in bed and a great kisser! Very important a good kisser! I only had to look at him and cum! So sexy, we are separated now (that’s life) , I am 62 very fit and told I’m hot! I workout and have a good body, I see a few guys and don’t go over 45! They have body’s to die for and yes, back arching, sheet clutching and pillow biting! I’m having the time of my life! So yes! As far as sex is concerned I’m living the dream! Long may it continue 😀😀

Anyone watched Normal People? They had an ‘intimacy coordinator‘ for the sex scenes to make sure it looked realistic but the actors were comfortable, The sex was pretty realistic complete with awkward moments!

Sex every which way, all the time. To the point where my exboyfriend thought I had a sex addiction (probable).

Having sex all the time doesn’t make it intimate though. Even when you have it on tap and you’re regularly having an orgasm. It doesn’t match having real intimacy with your lover.

Wall sex was good when I weighed less than 7 stone. Small (laundry) room in a hotel. Feet on one wall, back on another. Beach sex not so good as didn’t want to move re sand. Have never romped around like on the tv. Have been bent in weird positions. All when I was very young and just let the guy take charge. Very hot and in the moment because I had no reference to know what to expect or to try to reach orgasm... that just happened with no effort. Ah the good old days.

Had shower sex once, flooded the bathroom, but didn’t really notice, as we were too busy having shower sex, until his Mum knocks on the door to inform him the shower is also flooding downstairs and enquires why (I think she realised I was in there with him).

Of course our sex is like that. Only the most sexy noises, no grunting or anything. Perfect hair, makeup, undies etc. Dignified and sexy movements. No “can you just move your arm a bit” type comments. Of course, our bodies are incredibly sexy too. We absolutely don’t have a dog in its basket staring at us with disapproval either. Just like the telly.

Shower sex is really awkward! I have done it. Covered in soap. Makes for no friction which can be dangerous... not the best ever! Sex in a hot tub too... not sure how great that was tbh... the poor guy got a bit hot and nearly fainted.

It doesn’t match having real intimacy with your lover. Really true. The most wave crashingly mind blowing sex is when you have some deep feelings there.

For in ‘The Affair’ - the sex with Allison and Cole seemed the best - they had had a child and were deeply connected. And second to that Noah and his first wife - even though they didn’t show this hardly at all. I didn’t really feel Alison and Noah’s sex was the best even though they were trying to show it to be - as most of us watching it also knew that it was Noah’s ego and midlife crisis - and Alison not caring who she had sex with. That is not a great sexual connection - it’s shallow, messed up, and sad really.
