To report the twisted owner of this car to the police

I know who the owner is because he commented on the photo after it was uploaded to Facebook. He tried to defend himself by saying he's just "having a laugh" but he has no intention of removing the sticker.

Incase the photo doesn't load: this idiot has had a decal made for his car that says 'rape bus'

Print out a G in the same font and stick it in front. If you can spray the car purple, so much the better.

midsomermurderess · 08/07/2020 18:47

What basis is there for reporting this to the police? It's nasty and crass but it's not a breach of the peace, not a criminal offence.

midsomermurderess · 08/07/2020 18:48

But then you're all all in England.

Thelnebriati · 08/07/2020 18:48

Using threatening, abusive, or insulting language is a criminal offence under Section 5 of the Public Order Act

Nanny0gg · 08/07/2020 18:49

Hope he doesn't have daughters...

LadyEloise · 08/07/2020 18:49

EveryPlanetHasAYorkshire "The police probably won't do anything because women aren't viewed as people...."
Tell that to Cressida Dick chief of police in the Met.

It would be great if one of the journalists in the national media, who are normally all over Mumsnet planting looking for a story, picks this up

Ponoka7 · 08/07/2020 18:52

midsomermurderess, it's a section 5.

I'm surprised that the school hasn't had a word about it. I'd be tempted to spray, 'Nonce' under it.

cdtaylornats · 08/07/2020 18:53

I saw a sticker saying "Baby on board". Poor little bugger I thought buy him a car seat.

LakieLady · 08/07/2020 18:55

Firework up the exhaust pipe would be much better

Or brake fluid poured over it.

RoLaren · 08/07/2020 18:57

Not as worrying as this free sticker that came with a car seat accessory I ordered!

RoLaren · 08/07/2020 18:59

That was in reply to cdtaylornats

ComeBy · 08/07/2020 19:00

Really offensive.

And a terrible 'joke' to display to growing boys and girls.

Good grief, do women actually live with men like this?

I would report.

Could those threatening JKR with rape etc on Twitter be charged with this then, do you think?

Slight derail I know but it’s in a similar vein...

gotothecooler · 08/07/2020 19:06

And is this 'bus' the one he drives the kids about in? I'm sure the police and SS would be very interested ...

Right, ok. The police may speak to him due to the public order act, but SS? You have got to be having a laugh? There are thousands of seriously abused and neglected children in the U.K. that's SS remit. Not some idiot with a car sticker!

PuppyMonkey · 08/07/2020 19:08

Humberside police are on Facebook and Twitter - can you post this photo and tag them in it?

SummerWhisper · 08/07/2020 19:18

Report it to the PCSOs and mention that he has children. The children are potentially at risk.

Jux · 08/07/2020 19:29

scrawl "rapist" on his windshield with something slightly corrosive (at night, with a hood over your head so you can't be identified; it is criminal).

nothingcanhurtmewithmyeyesshut · 08/07/2020 19:31

I'd spray Nonce across the bonnet. Just a bit of banter. Just a joke, right?

He'll get the shit kicked out of him inside of a week.

Destroyedpeople · 08/07/2020 19:33

Yeh nonce across the bonnet in something corrosive.
Bantz!!

GabsAlot · 08/07/2020 19:36

yes it is an offence someone on one of those cop shows had an offensive sticker on his car they stood there and watched till he removed it

Cyw2018 · 08/07/2020 19:37

Put prawns in the air vents.

mummaWa · 08/07/2020 19:47

Isn’t it funny how a sign about rape can get us angry. Yet actually raping, stealing babies and murdering, to obtain milk, cheese, meat and eggs goes by without criticism.

CrazyToast · 08/07/2020 19:51

I would report. If police are stopping people for wearing 'fuck Boris' t-shirts they can get involved in this

AdultFishcakes · 08/07/2020 19:56

Ok so you’re equating rape with being non vegan.

Words fail me.

Really mummaWa? I'm a fellow vegan, but this post is not the place for your comment!

Back to OP - i would report this to the police. Its disgusting, and the bastard who owns the car needs his comeuppance.
