To report the twisted owner of this car to the police

I know who the owner is because he commented on the photo after it was uploaded to Facebook. He tried to defend himself by saying he's just "having a laugh" but he has no intention of removing the sticker.

Incase the photo doesn't load: this idiot has had a decal made for his car that says 'rape bus'

Vile, but the police can’t do anything

Interesting though that they probably would if it said 'lynch bus' or 'slave bus'. As a PP said misogyny should be a hate crime.
Picklypickles · 08/07/2020 17:04

That is disgusting, but is it a crime? I don't know whether or not the police can do anything about it, I do like the idea of giving the story to the press though, publicly shame the creep and see how funny he finds his stupid joke then.

LottieBubble · 08/07/2020 17:05

Some forces do consider misogyny as a hate crime. Report it- it’s properly offensive.

S4 Public Order Act. - using or threatening or displaying threatening abusive or insulting words or behaviour. Report it to the police and complain to the police scrutiny panel or the area commissioner if they don’t take it seriously.

Ouchjuststoodonlego · 08/07/2020 17:09

I think that it could be.
This is the wording from section 5 of the public order act

What is the offence?
Section 5 makes it an offence to use “threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, or
disorderly behaviour” or to display “any writing, sign or other visible representation which is
threatening, abusive or insulting” within the hearing or sight of a person “likely to be caused
harassment, alarm or distress thereby”. The offence does not depend on harassment, alarm
or distress actually having been caused in the particular ca

His Mother must be so proud of him

ShellsAndSunrises · 08/07/2020 17:11

I'd imagine this could be covered under section 4 or 5 of the Public Order Act - it's worth talking to your local police.

BoreOfWhabylon · 08/07/2020 17:12

I'd ask for that to be taken down. You are a random on the internet, posting a picture of an identifiable person and accusing them of something pretty unpleasant.

Of course MNHQ will take a dim view.

I deplore that car sticker but this is not the answer.

AcornsTrustee · 08/07/2020 17:15

Exactly what BoreOfWhabylon just said. Very dodgy ground legally OP.

SquirtleSquad · 08/07/2020 17:15

He's a cunt. I wouldn't be posting his photo here though, but would report to local police.

AnnieMaul · 08/07/2020 17:18

If you don't mind sharing OP, what's the group this was in?
I'm not too far from Grimsby and recognise the location in your pic, but haven't seen this pop up on any of the groups i'm in.

JacobReesMogadishu · 08/07/2020 17:21

I suppose at least it advertises his horribleness to all and sundry, especially women, so they know to avoid.

Defenbaker · 08/07/2020 17:22

Disgusting - name and shame him to anyone who might be interested.

Years ago some men would refer to their car as a "passion wagon", which was a bit cringeworthy, but that car sticker takes the "humour" (which is not actually funny) to a whole different level of sexism and misogyny. I can't see any context where the word rape could be funny.

TimelyManor · 08/07/2020 17:29

He has kids by the way, the owner

And is this 'bus' the one he drives the kids about in? I'm sure the police and SS would be very interested ...

NeutrinoWrangler · 08/07/2020 17:30

I agree with JacobReesMogadishu. It's a useful clue to all who see him in his car that he's a piece of shit. (Though I suspect anyone who comes into contact with him probably quickly understands that without seeing the decal.)

I do feel sorry for his kids, though...

BubblyBarbara · 08/07/2020 17:30

Ah Grimsby. Home of the stupid and dumb.

Let's all sit wringing our hands about how offensive someone's car sticker is while denigrating an entire town.

CambsAlways · 08/07/2020 17:33

Not even funny

mathanxiety · 08/07/2020 17:33

The car is crying out to be keyed or spray painted all over.

ginswinger · 08/07/2020 17:40

Sooner or later he has to go to a supermarket where I would heartily encourage someone to zip tie a trolley to the door handle

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 08/07/2020 17:42

If only the Daily Heil would pick up stories like this! But they never do :(

TheNestedIf · 08/07/2020 17:44

Not sure a brick through the window is appropriate.

Firework up the exhaust pipe would be much better.

HellSmith · 08/07/2020 17:46

I’ve heard about a few people who got done for wearing an offensive T shirt, surely this is the same?

You could always go round with a broom tonight & see how funny the sick cunt finds that. Or leave him to it & hopefully the public will deal with him.
