O. M. G.

Please help me to feel better.

I HATE Facebook! I haven't actively used Facebook for years, but have the Messenger App as I sometimes get the odd message...

Anyway, for some reason,I decided to open the Messenger App and clicked on a conversation from my ex. We haven't spoken for about two years. Then, somehow I managed to accidentally send a thumbs up! I then panicked and then somehow changed the conversation colour?!!! Which came up as 'blanche has changed the conversation colour' and I was then like 'ABORT! ABORT! ABORT!' and then....god knows how....I managed to create a group with him and my other ex!

Oh the shame. I immediately left the group, but now,as I've left it...i seemingly can't get back in to delete it? So they're know in this sad little group together? Wondering why on earth I've suddenly randomly created this group and then left it!

Bloody hell

KetoWinnie · 09/07/2020 16:04

Omg, a vomit emoji under the scan of her baby! 😮

sweetheartyparty · 09/07/2020 16:06

I can't give any worthwhile advice but it did make me laugh

Bicnod · 09/07/2020 16:10

I have tears streaming down my face and the kids are moaning at me for laughing too loudly while they're watching the Simpsons 😂😂😂

Thank you OP this has really cheered me up today...

The extra big thumbs up slayed me.

@Periodprob

I have loved reading these! I have a great one but it didn't happen to me, I just saw it.

A few months back I noticed my aunt was tagged on Facebook in a status about somebody's funeral. Wasn't sure why my aunt was tagged, the name wasn't someone I recognised so I didn't think it was someone particularly close to my aunt. On closer inspection I realised that the lady who shared it had screenshotted a picture of the deceased, while she must have been having a conversation on messenger with my aunt, because in amongst the lovely photo of the deceased lady and all the condolence messages was a tiny circle with my aunt's grinning face on it!

Omg I’ve done similar. Taken a screen shot of something just as a WhatsApp message from DP filled up the top bit of my screen. I can do see how that could happen!!!’

😂

MoggyMittens23 · 09/07/2020 16:19

@FlyRobinFly you have no idea how much that just made me laugh! Thank you - and sorry that it happened to you of course!

ToBBQorNotToBBQ · 09/07/2020 16:21

Amazing 😂😂

LunaNorth · 09/07/2020 16:25

@FlyRobinFly you have no idea how much I needed a laugh today. I have been wheezing with laughter at your ‘massive vomit emoji’ GrinGrinGrin

blanche85 · 09/07/2020 16:31

@FlyRobinFly

I have a horrendous one. Managed to block out the trauma of it but this thread brought it all back up again, so thanks very much for that OP Grin

I have been guilty of Facebook stalking DP’s ex on occasion. She’s expecting a baby with her partner. Last month she posted a 4D scan photo and I was having a little snoop in the comments, all just “Oh how lovely!” type things. While I was scrolling I heard a weird sound effect but didn’t think anything of it. About half an hour later in the bath I think “What WAS that sound effect?” and remember it’s the one that plays when you post a comment. Absolutely shat myself. Luckily had phone with me in the bath so was able to get on to doing damage control straight away. Saw that I’d posted a fucking massive vomit emoji under the scan photo. Instantly blocked her and all those in the comment thread and then deactivated my account for a week.

Hahahahaha that's absolutely hilarious!

I almost didn’t read the thread because the title is so perfect....but glad I did, i am just sitting here going OUCH Shock at some of these Grin

Worstemailever · 09/07/2020 17:08

@msflibble

I'm afraid that a one piece still wouldn't protect you from a limbo malfunction! The poor lady in question was wearing a swimsuit! It's probably just best to avoid water parks and limbo parties!

Worstemailever · 09/07/2020 17:12

Am laughing at the vomit!

blanche85 · 09/07/2020 18:26

Dancing cactus wearing a sombrero gets my vote!

That is brilliant. I can't stop chuckling about it.
GloriousTechnicolour · 09/07/2020 18:43

I love this kind of thread. Grin

Recently I was Facebook stalking my ex and his (beautiful) new girlfriend. When I was scrolling through photos of their latest exotic holiday, my phone froze and I jabbed the screen randomly. When it unfroze, I had tagged MYSELF on a glam photo of her and the ex cuddling up in a swanky beach bar! I couldn't then bloody work out how to untag myself for ages and somehow kept tagging myself in my panic.

Aaargh! Stupid technology BlushBlushBlush

Justkeeepsmiling · 09/07/2020 18:58

This is exactly why you have a 2nd fb profile. 😁

FlyRobinFly · 09/07/2020 19:02

@Justkeeepsmiling I have a generic profile under the name of Jane Smith Grin

Justkeeepsmiling · 09/07/2020 19:05

@FlyRobinFly. All those people that think they've blocked me Mmwwhahahaha

Babesinthewud · 09/07/2020 19:08

🤣 bless ya OP that made me laugh

Whendoesthisgeteasier · 09/07/2020 19:17

Just wait.... There will be a thread any minute now in relationships: 'my DH's ex has added him to a group chat. Why?! Should I be suspicious?'

DameHannahRelf · 09/07/2020 19:19

My sister once sent a scathing, nasty text message about me, to me (by mistake), while I was standing right next to her. Intended for our mum.

To be fair, it was because I was being really sour with my friend, who'd turned up an hour early and done nothing but moan at me and criticise, and sis had just arrived to what seemed like me in a rotten mood (by the end of the night she was vowing to never go out with said friend ever again).

It could have been much worse, the two guys will probably suss it was an accident, think you've left messenger open and stuck your phone in your pocket, cat on keyboard or similar.

MrMeSeeks · 09/07/2020 19:36

I once had a row with someone on my now deleted account. I somehow friend requested her and liked a comment.
I don’t like Facebook.

DameHannahRelf · 09/07/2020 19:38

My own personal worst was uploading a new profile photo, screenshoted from my gallery, not realising the "photo roll" thing was open at the bottom, and could be seen, but only if you clicked on the photo.

So there were three other embarrasing mini photos at the bottom. I can't remember exactly what, but I think one was a picture I got ds to take, of a huge spot on my back, near my tattoo Blush. That was up for a few hours before I realised.

I went through a stage of having stress nightmares, where I would dream that I'd woken up in my own bed, really hungover. Reached for my phone, only to realise I'd accidently uploaded a naked (or generally embarrassing) picture or video while I was drunk the night before, hadn't noticed, and it had gone viral. I used to wake up from those dreams in a total panic. I started using my phone in power save mode a lot more (you can't access the camera, gallery or messenger) etc.
