To think I could be pregnant although I had a 'period'? Positive pregnancy test?

I know it sounds unlikely, but....

So, this months period is 3 days late. My cycles are normally 23/24 days long but I'm now on day 29 with no period in sight. I also have sore boobs and am urinating frequently, though I know these are also PMS signs.
I took a test the day period was due and it was definitely negative. Took another one today (not first morning urine) and got this... I can sorta see a second line but I don't know if it's an evap or a very faint positive!

The only thing is, Ive only had sex twice in the past five weeks, the most recent was six days ago so I cannot possibly be showing symptoms yet, and the other time was five weeks ago. I got what I thought was a period about a week or so after that. It was perhaps a bit lighter than normal but not different enough that it made me think it was anything other than a period.

Is it possible that it wasnt actually a period? I'm probably being ridiculous but I can see another line! Although I would think that if I'd conceived 4/5 weeks ago the line would be much much stronger?

I don't know, I'm really confused!

Can any of you see another line or am I utterly mad?

I can see a faint line, yes. And it's entirely possible to still have a period whilst you're pregnant. Uncommon, but possible.

I say period, I mean bleeding. Obviously you won't have an actual period during pregnancy, but you can have bleeding that resembles a period.

I had what I thought was a 1.5 day period but it was implantation bleeding. You’re pregnant.

@LividLaughLovely thank you. This bleeding lasted 4/5 days though! Same length as my regular period, which is why I'm kind of baffled!

I do not see lines. And you shouldn't have to edit the photo to see a line. Try again in a few more days.

I definitely see a faint line in the second photo. Sounds like perhaps the first "period" was actually implantation bleeding? I'd say test again in a few days, but I think you're pregnant!

I had two ‘periods’ four weeks apart when I was pregnant with DC1. I was really pleased as I was having light, irregular periods and had started on the path to fertility treatment. I thought I’d have more chance of getting pregnant not realising I already was.

I can see a very faint line in the second photo BUT it doesn’t look to have pink colour in it. It looks very much like an evaporation line to me (I’ve had the exact same from First Response). In my experience when FR is positive it’s very clear. Hope you get the news you want before too long.

I can see the line but sometimes you can see the outline of where the line will be if the colour fills in. This has given me a few heart-attacks over the years when I didn't want to be pregnant! Wait a bit or get one of those fancy ones that can detect super early.

Hmm I think you'd see a much stronger line (although I don't really see the line in the photo) if you were pregnant from sex 5 weeks ago.

I can see a line but my guess would be that it's from the most recent time that you had sex. Maybe you ovulated late. I'm sure the line would be darker if it related to the time from 5 weeks ago. I hope it all works out how you would like it to!

I think that's a negative test. If you have to squint, filter the pic and stand on one leg it's a negative test.

Looks like an evaporation line. I'd expect a dark line if you got pregnant 5 weeks ago (presumably 6-7 weeks pregnant as it's counted from last menstrual period) so highly unlikely.
If you are pregnant, it's more likely to be from 6 days ago, though a bit early to test.
Do another one in a few days.

If that's positive, then I'm betting on the sex 6 days ago.to be the cause. Too light/ pale for five weeks ago.

Agree that there is a very faint line. I'd wait until tomorrow (Monday) and test in the morning with fmu. If you are pregnant the line should be more obvious then

I can see a line on all the pictures but it is very faint. Try again in a couple of days and use first morning urine.

Although very unlikely, it could be an ectopic pregnancy. Just keep this in the back of your mind if any other symptoms develop.

I had a “normal” period, but when I developed stomach pain a couple of weeks after that, i took a pregnancy test and it was positive. Ended up having surgery the next day.
