get himself over to the States to account for his actions and to give evidence for those poor victims of abuse. He's a bloody disgrace.

This I will agree with
knittingaddict · 04/07/2020 18:17

Can't they have Andrew anyway. It's not like we want him.

Justjoinedforthis · 04/07/2020 18:17

Sorry if this has been mentioned and I missed it, but did anyone see the story in the Guardian...apparently Maxwell’s close friend, who spoke to her recently, said that Maxwell said she would never say anything about Andrew as he had really looked out for her when her dad died. So basically implying there is stuff to tell!

UmbrellaHat · 04/07/2020 18:53

I don’t think people have a clue about half the stuff the royal family has got up to over the decades. They have nothing but contempt for the British public

ThIs. Yes definitely let them have him in exchange for Anne Sacoolas (sp?) and then strip all the HRH nonsense from the lot of them. If we have to keep the royal family, keep it just the fire t line of accession snd the rest all commoners doing regular jobs, sovereign wealth returns to public purse and salary paid to the king or whatever and accommodation in one palace only.

UmbrellaHat · 04/07/2020 18:55

Ghislaine will sing /plea deal to get 10 year sentence (and serve 3 in an open cushy prison) instead of 35. She will offer up stuff on Clinton that will be swept under the carpet and dish up Andrew as the main lever.

KetoWinnie · 04/07/2020 21:41

I know, it's sad, the queen has always behaved well herself no matter what her family did around her but now she is a paedophile apologist. Sad way to end........... (i mean, she doesn't have that long left)

KetoWinnie · 04/07/2020 21:44

@googledontknow

It's a disgrace the hatred that MM gets, and is vilified just for being mixed race and daring to marry a grandson of the Queen. Yet the paedo son of the Queen is defended on this mostly female forum Hmm words fail. Would those of you that defend him have sent your daughters across the world to 'provide' massages to all the old perverts? Shame on you.
It's not either or though is it.

Not a huge fan of MM but that doesn't mean that I'm some sort of hypocrite. I think MM should try keeping a low profile. I think Andrew should go to the FBI and stop being a vile coward.
Who is defending him? I missed that. Everybody knows he's morally repugnant, it's just some people are questioning whether he could be convicted of a crime and found guilty.

Topseyt · 04/07/2020 21:55

Prince Andrew is a sleazeball and a national embarrassment.

Of course he should face questioning by the FBI, whether it is done in the States or over here.

I wouldn't be at all sorry for him.

sashh · 05/07/2020 04:24

At that time women were falling over themselves to have him. He had no need to coerce or have a friend fix him up with a girl

No one EVER has a reason to coerce or rape. Men do not die if they don't put their dick into a female.

Not a patch on his dear old departed Uncle Dickie.

Mintjulia · 05/07/2020 06:22

Prince Andrew has agreed to be interviewed several times but has asked for the normal confidentiality around those interviews, the same as anyone else would be entitled to under US law.
The three times they have tried to arrange those interviews, the information has immediately been passed to the press.

I don’t have much sympathy for HRH, he is at best, stupid and selfish, and the Maitlis interview was cringeworthy, but I can understand his legal team rejecting the current situation, until US law enforcement can stop leaking like a sieve.

Lambinikins · 05/07/2020 06:23

Anyone who doesn't know who Uncle Dickie was and what he did has no idea about the murky history of the royal family. I do not condone that he was murdered by terrorists at all, however I feel that there is truth in the saying "If you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas."

Bluemoooon · 05/07/2020 06:42

This is funny - thankfully only the Royals were taken in and these people weren't featured on prime time tv for a generation - what opportunities would they have had???

Bluemoooon · 05/07/2020 06:48

I hate that soooo many people jump on the bandwagon to destroy random people. JKRowling, Prince Andrew, Megan Merkle etc - it's mostly women, rich women, or priveleged people. I don't think this happens so much in other countries.
I'm older and ime of life the number of randy old men who have taken advantage of young women is inestimable - take a trip to Thailand it happens hourly there. I get that PA appears guilty and should be tried but the baying of the mob isn't because they are so righteous or they would be busy trying to save the many women and children who are being trafficked as we speak. They are just not nice people taking advantage of the anonymity of the internet.

Lambinikins · 05/07/2020 07:06

Rolf Harris and the Queen seemed to be on very friendly, chatty terms when he painted her portrait.

Tinkerbell456 · 05/07/2020 07:54

As far as I’ve seen, Andrew was pictured with his arm around an obviously mid to late teen girl. If you didn’t know differently, it actually looked more like a pic with the daughter of a family friend. It definitely looks dodgy in this climate, and he has got some explaining to do I agree, but I don’t see it as evidence that he had sex with her in itself. If indeed he did, then yep, he’s guilty of a serious offence and accepts the consequences. Murky tales are about to come out about a few high profile people I reckon. Horribly hard to prove innocence though. Not saying that I know whether Andrew in particular is innocent of course but just a general remark.

zigaziga · 05/07/2020 07:56

Yes good points from PP- let’s not send him or even let him go until there can be a swap.

billysboy · 05/07/2020 08:37

I watched the Duke and Duches of Disaster on C5 last night , he was just an accident waiting to happen with Fergie in tow

With what they have both done they should slink off quietly with minimal fuss and stay under that stone but it appears they just cant help themselves

I didn't know that. He's a piece of shit, obviously, but it's not a great shock that he isn't willing to speak in those circumstances.
