A cosy flat
Clean washing drying on the rack - nice clothes for my kids to wear and makes the whole flat smell like Fairy
Just enough money that I could order a takeaway for one tonight 😋
I found a new series on the TV that I enjoyed
Hearing my daughter make her baby brother laugh
That the play parks are opening soon, my daughter is really happy about that

How about you? :)

I live in the greatest city in the world, and this is my evening running route.

And I want for very little.

LadyPrigsbottom · 24/06/2020 22:10

Having a safe home
Being with my family
Feeling free of some people from my past - I'm slowly being more assertive and thinking who cares if they don't like it?
The fan in our living room
Downton Abbey on TV

I love these threads, so lovely to have some positivity spread.

I’m grateful for the sunshine today. Had a lovely walk to town and had my first Greggs since lockdown! My favourite “Fancy” pizza was reduced so had a lovely dinner with some of DP homemade brownies for dessert.

Looking at that it seems all I’ve been thankful for is food Grin

Being alive Smile

GenuineKlatchianPottery · 24/06/2020 22:14

The cool bath I’ve just got out of.
The breeze that’s blowing through the windows.

MrsGrindah · 24/06/2020 22:14

Lovely thread

A warm clean safe home.
Enough food to eat.
Clean running water
A healthy body and mind
People who love me ( and people who have loved me who have now gone but their love remains)
A pile of unread books
A beautiful sofa
Enough money to not worry about bills
I am very lucky and I try to be grateful every day

Me and my family are in good health

DH and I have relatively secure jobs, we can WFH and flexibly around childcare

We have a house with a garden so have space for DD when we can't go anywhere

Liverpool have just won 4-0 Football

SerenDippitty · 24/06/2020 22:22

My DH
My comfortable home
My health

Bluewavescrashing · 24/06/2020 22:23

DCs are (mainly) happy and healthy.
We have booked a self catering holiday cottage for August.
Enough food to eat.
Secure jobs.
Happy cat purring next to me.
No work tomorrow.

BabyMoonPie · 24/06/2020 22:23

My paragraphs disappeared :-( I'm also grateful we have supermarket delivery slots bringing us plenty of food

BabyMoonPie · 24/06/2020 22:25

Last one! I'm also grateful our beautiful cat is doing OK after a scary week of illness and vet trips which ended up with a diagnosis of kidney disease

mogtheexcellent · 24/06/2020 22:28

Ben and Jerry's peanut butter cup ice cream

Lovely DH, home and dog 💝

DH and I both still working (at least at the moment, which I feel lucky for in the ongoing COVID situation)

Really amazing, generous and loving parents. MN has opened my eyes to how many people aren't so lucky on that front!

My health and the health of my family ❤️

SomeoneInTheLaaaaaounge · 24/06/2020 22:37

@GenuineKlatchianPottery

Cool bath, nice wet hair and lovely breeze. Oh and BBQ tomorrow.... yummmyyy

Chickoletta · 24/06/2020 22:39

My garden, which is full of birds, bugs and other creatures and gives my children a chance to be free outdoors.

Cheerybigbottom · 24/06/2020 22:41

My lovely cat, 14 years old and who I've been with since he was a 6 week old kitten (mother died).

When he came to me I was single and had a ten year old cat. That cat sadly died two years later. I brought home another cat and they lived together for 12 years until he died.

Now I have a DH, a ds and still my lovely cat who links me to my single days and married life, parenthood and my other loved cats is still happy to be adored and part of my family.

PenelopePitstop49 · 24/06/2020 22:41

Getting up and walking my dogs at 6am this morning.... there was a cool breeze, no sounds other than birdsong and we didn't meet a soul for the whole hour. Then I came home and had my 1st cup of tea sat out on the patio while the dogs lead on the flagstones.

It really set my day up.

5am start tomorrow as it's not really cooling much and my 2 really don't like the heat.............

Clean air dried bed sheets for tonight 😊

I have a day off & I've been able to do a few jobs & be out in the sun (for a short time) rather than be sat behind a desk.

maddening · 25/06/2020 13:34

My portable. Air-con unit that I bought when I realised that I was wfh for the summer - amazing!

LadyPrigsbottom · 25/06/2020 13:34

I have bed sheet envy CaptainCarp GrinEnvy.

mbosnz · 25/06/2020 13:37

A fricking marvellous washing machine and a good washing line.
Seven loads of bedding and towels later. . .
My garden, which has given me an interest, as I've found I'm not as crappy at growing things as I thought, having grown tomatoes, courgettes and carrots from seed.
My kids, who have been absolutely amazing at being self motivated and managing their studies during lockdown, and have accepted the restrictions on their movements and social lives with such good grace.
My husband, who is working his arse off, often doing 11-12 hour days, but is always available to help with schoolwork, help with giving me a hand, to lend a shoulder to cry on to whoever is currently in meltdown, and is a bloody amazing cook and puts up with me.
Our lovely neighbours, who we barely know, who went to such lengths to help us find our cat.

YorkshirePud1 · 25/06/2020 13:56

My beautiful 5 week old daughter and the electric fan that's helping her nap.
