So basically, I never really wear a bra. I hate the way they feel and find them really uncomfortable. Last time I was measured I was 36DD but that was a few years ago so I need to get the tape measure out.

So, ladies, please help me out. BEST website to buy comfortable, uplifting, supportive bras? For women with relatively big bust. I'm only 23 and they're sagging! 😂😂😂

@formerbabe I'm only 23. It started because I go out a lot and wear tight playsuits and dresses so I would just wear a nipple cover! But now I only ever really wear strapless bandeaus if I have to!

Get your size sorted out first. A lot of women who find bras uncomfortable are wearing the wrong size. Once you get your size right, a lot more bras will automatically be more comfortable.

What size clothes do you wear on your top half? A 36 back size is roughly equivalent to a size 14.

Are you not incredibly uncomfortable without one?

I quit wearing cupped bras a few years ago and now wear stretchy comfortable barrettes. My favourites for general wear boody.co.uk/products/shaper-bra

and I have a few slinkier options from free people for when they may show through clothes or straps visible.

First of all measure yourself using a site like booborbust.com the make sure you're in the correct size as this makes a huge difference. Then once you've found the correct fit it's best to stick to established DD+ brands like Panache, Freya, Elomi, Bravissimo etc as their bras are constructed with bigger boobs in mind instead of just sizing up smaller bra sizes. They don't have to be expensive either, there's quite a few sites that sells discounted end of season or previous season colours/patterns

I’m a 32H (properly measured - boob or bust / Bravissimo etc) and I can’t STAND bras. Any bras. Bloody horrible things. I wear stretchy crop top type things from Amazon (packs of 3 for a tenner) and if I absolutely HAVE to I will wear a bra so I don’t scare people. Otherwise I will freeboob. Bras are torture.

Not sure how true it is but I'm sure I read somewhere that breasts are held up by ligaments and once they're stretched, they never go back. So probably a good time to start wearing one whilst you're still relatively young. Not sure anyone will be measuring at the moment.

Good advice about how to measure at boom or bust. If you measure at home do your underbust, then around fullest point which on average pre made clothing is about 3 inches above the band. The general rule is the difference in inches is how you find your cup size. Eg 36 back with 36.5 full is AA, 37 is A, 38 is B, 41 is DD. But what often is neglected is the top bust. If you are still full right up under the armpits you need fuller coverage. There are different styles that suit different volumes - for example in a balconette the push out gives a shelf effect on bigger breasts, on a half cup with D and above you won't feel very secure. All the work is done by a good close fitting band. Top tips for larger breasts

the more full the cup you'll want a thicker band - going up to 3 or 4 hooks
minimisers are uncomfortable, front closing gives you mono boob.
All that said get an account at simply be or something - lots to try on at home and send back what you don't like - they're pretty good value and gives you a chance to figure out your style and comfort levels. If you think you're 36DD get the same style in 34DD, 36DD, 36E and figure it out in comfort at home.
(I only wear one bra from M&S - I have 12 in all the colours but can't buy any more because now I'm boycotting them 🤷‍♀️) Different manufacturers are going to be slightly different so you never know til you know.

I very rarely wear wired bras any more and only wear soft cup ones or bralettes. I'm 34E/F. I feel quite comfortable in them.

Sainsburys soft crop tops are fine for me at 34 D and so comfy. I hate bras too. Sometimes I just wear a vest under a top if I'm at home.

I actually go to primark. Cheap and cheerful.

I am 36D and there's a possibility that's the biggest size they do.

I am shocked. Ever since I have had boobs I have been far more comfortable in one. Until I've worn one too long.

If you are a size 16 and squeezing into a 36dd you will be uncomfortable as your bra is too small.
A properly measured and fitted bra should never be uncomfortable.
I have also found that you get what you pay for with bras especially if you are larger busted. Always go for the better makes if you can afford to.
You are still young now but once you met middle age you will appreciate the fact that you have worn a well fitting decent bra for the last 20 years.

I hate bras. Im 36 F and when I wear a bra it is so uncomfortable. I always say they're like booby prison 😂 but of course I wear one when appropriate

Why would someone a size 16 wearing a 36DD be automatically assumed to be wearing one that is too small...? I’m a size 16/18 and I am a 32H. Definitely a 32 round the ribs. Most women are wearing a back size that is too big for them, not the other way round.

I never find bras uncomfortable, I hate not wearing one and can't understand the people who can't wait to take them off!

Figleaves have a great selection for bigger busts.

I wear inexpensive sports bras / bralettes / supported crop tops wherever possible and have expensive bras in a few different materials for when it matters under decent clothing / special outfits etc.

I hate bras too and would much rather wear a lovely stretchy supportive crop top at 34F

I can't stand not wearing a bra and I'm a 34/36DD/E (depending on where I shop)! I find Bravissimo the best for fit but more expensive than M&S so I have a mixture of both. Always try on first though as bras can vary a lot depending on style and make.

I've never been one of those women who can't wait to get home and take their bra off at the end of the day as I just find it uncomfortable and have to hold my boobs when going up/downstairs!

Plus, at 41 and after 2 kids, they are not as pert as they may have once been and it's not a good look.

If conventional bra is uncomfortable ( assuming you have done proper measurements ) , try molke instead. comfy, stretch with your cycle, no digging in, no sweat rash
