To think the McCanns are being almost tortured by the media and the police?

I said several days ago (on a thread here) that the letter was probably sent c/o Scotland Yard (and I wasn’t the only one to think so). If I can work that out why can’t the collective brains of German and U.K. detective teams PLUS dozens of European media outlets figure it out?

Why couldn’t Scotland Yard find a missing letter about a high profile, serious crime in their own building FGS?

How long has the delay been? Four or five days? This is cruel.

They need a new liaison officer now and the police need to pull themselves together.

To think the McCanns are being almost tortured by the media and the police?

No doubt these people having a go at people like me who do hold the McCanns to account, will have total sympathy and understanding for the mother who left her kid (to be torn to pieces) with a dog in Looe and will be campaigning to get her released because she has suffered enough.

Well for a start I’ve always been shocked that none of them were questioned or had SS involvement. They all neglected the kids.

And there will always ‘but they left left their kids alone’ be she’s they did and it sticks in people throat that this is now all about poor Gerry and Kate and not the fact that their three year old isn’t around anymore. Which should still be at the forefront of every conversation. Because the child was the victim here. Not those two adults who left her.

As for the others I'm sure you can understand why they haven't commented either way.

I think you're confusing income with social class. And yes, I've seen their house -- I used to live in a village not far from Rothley. Am also working class.

Well perhaps you should read the posts first before you start throwing accusations around @Jkslays, maybe it's the gin making you so unable to focus enough to see the posts and making you aggressive and spouting nonsense, like the PP was making stuff up or was drinking wine. Might be worth you stepping away from the thread or the gin glass?

Are you in a position to say whether they were or not jkslays? Also, you may have missed me asking earlier in the thread, but you said any other parent would've been in prison and I asked were you knowledgeable about Portuguese law. Are you?

A mother was arrested in Benidorm for leaving her two nine year old twins so she could go out drinking. She was arrested. And rightly so. Kids were fine.

However the NSPCC made this statement - which I find really curious as no such statement was put out about you know who -

An NSPCC spokesman: ‘It was highly irresponsible of the mother to leave her two young children to fend for themselves, especially in an alien environment

Leaving them alone was no doubt a frightening experience for them and could have resulted in tragedy

We recommend that children under the age of 12 are rarely mature enough to cope in an emergency and should not be left alone for a long period. Any adult worried about a child can call the NSPCC helpline on 0808 800 5000

When you start publishing books, regular tv appearances and being an ambassador for missing people - you court public opinion.

British citizens can be extradited to Portugal jkslays. They're in the European Arrest Warrant Scheme. So I'm not sure why they eventually left. And Benidorm is in Spain so that doesn't tell us anything about Portuguese law.

Given that you dont know anything about Portuguese law, why do you feel so confident making proclamations about what would happen? And how are you in a position to state with such certainty that there was never SS involvement for any of them? Would you have been informed if there were?

They left after 48 hours after learning they were formal suspects despite pledging they would stay and clear their name

Jk - this is what you said. I've pointed out that Kate did, which you appear to have googled and now know. Also they wrote books so are public property so you should know. The friends though? Why should you know about them?
