Forgot to add: really liked Lee Pace's voice as Thranduil; way better than Orlando Bloom's voice. I have this theory that Orlando's voice has held him back a bit in his career. The Legoland role was really good for him because he didn't have to say much.

Absolutely, 10/10! Funnily enough "normal" Viggo Mortensen is at the complete opposite end of the scale for me... The Aragorn hair and stubble must provide the allure grin

I do like Aragorn but, it has to be said, he has very poor eyebrows. I struggle to get past that.

Book Faramir is the one for me. My ex once had an interview, was pre film, ‘87 or so, where they asked him his favourite LOTR character and why. His mind went blank and he remembered me rambling on about Faramir and just regurgitated it. Amazingly he was offered the job.

Denethor has ruined me for a picky plate and cherry tomatoes though.

And the elves were, on the whole, not amazingly beautiful enough.
