Orlando was not great in LOTR but it was his first ever film role and he was so young so he is forgiven. He's very sweet.

There are some funny articles about Legolas who is, when you think about it, in the film's, just a pretty jumper-abouter. One of the articles counted how many words he actually said in all the films and it was something like 42 and he only spoke directly to Frodo twice.

totally bemused when the film came out and everyone thought Legolas was this sizzling action hero. Not what I got from the books at all!

When I think of Legolas I think of the "they're taking the hobbits to Isengard" song and then I'm annoyed.

When the films came out I was all about Legolas - I remember sitting next to my then boyfriend in the cinema and thinking if Legolas walked in I'd dump my boyfriend there and then!

But yes, as I got older it's all about Aragorn. It must be the hair and beard. I saw on here on FB recently somebody say something like it's the sexiest door opening ever when he arrives back at Helm's Deep after everyone thinking he was dead!

Viggo himself, fantastic actor but definitely not my thing.

I was watching Two Towers one evening when DS came home from his hobby looking very much like Aragorn (long hair, 10 day stubble, soaking wet), he walked into the lounge and said "Gollum, Gollum, the tricksy Hobbit stole it, my precious" in his best Gollum voice (he's a great mimic) and my first thought was good grief you need a shower, totally put me off Aragorn for the rest of the film.

Film Aragorn is way hotter than book Aragorn, but not when he becomes King and acquires hair straighteners. Film Eomer and film Boromir are devastatingly attractive too....

I read the books age 11 and had the biggest crushes on Faramir and (ahem) Merry

I love Aragorn! Had to laugh at Arahorn Ive got a thing for dirty scruffy looking characters as i adore Gerralt, Thorin (The Hobbit)and the Guy of Gisborn (Robin Hood, BBC series, Richard Armitage)

I also love Viggo in Gi Jane

and of course how could i forget the wonderful Sean Bean as Boromir but i love pretty much any character Sean Bean plays (even though he dies in nearly everything)

Faramir is a bit too pretty and clean looking.

Lee Pace plays a very lovely looking Thranduil in the Hobbit trilogy

I loved Faramir in the book and was very glad Eowyn ended up with him. Aragorn was never going to leave her for me so it all worked out very well in the end.
