Are you Serious?!

AIBU to think society is alot more serious than we used to be?? I know there are serious events that are to be taken seriously of course like the racism and pandemic, deaths etc, this is not what im talking about. People just in general about everyday life seem alot more laid back about everything 20 odd years ago.. everything was abit more achievable, everyone abit more friendly, less judgement,being less competitive with others.. or maybe ive just noticed it more in recent times and its always been that way

Is the world really getting more serious, or are we just getting older and therefore more serious, and it's the young people who have fun?

I hope to remove myself from Social Media after lockdown but right now it feels like I'm having a conversation/ argument with someone when there is no one actually around due to Covid so better than nothing.

Lots of people are very dramatic. All livid, devastated, fuming, heartbroken etc over something completely inconsequential.

I can only assume they don't have a lot of real problems in life if they're livid because their neighbours had 7 outside visitors instead of 6 or whatever.

I'm not sure this is true, I think it's more just getting older and having more worries.
